10 Essentials for a Fall BBQ

Come summer, people start trotting outside in the sweltering heat with BBQ grills, but have you ever thought of grilling during Fall?

Summer season is the most popular to hear the neighborhood backyards come alive with the smell of grilled meat wafting around. However, the heat (not only from the weather but from the grills) makes it so intense to stay out and makes you rush into the confines of your house to cool down.

Now, the fall season has arrived. The weather’s not too hot and not too cold. You can stay out, with more clothes on again, and not feel the rush to make icy lemonades to cool off. It’s the perfect time for grilling. So bring out your tools and your meat and veggies and get your grills to make yummy BBQ this autumn season.

Below are some of the powerful tools that you may need for a perfect BBQ lunch, brunch, or dinner:

  • Original Weber Kettle Premium Charcoal Grill

These fantastic 22-inch charcoal grills can only be made by Weber, and one of the pros is the ash catcher located at the bottom. That’ll make sure you don’t get any charcoal on your clothes.

  • Weber Chimney Starter

Regular grillers know one way of lighting charcoal—gathering coal in the middle of the grill, pouring lighter fluid, and lighting it up. Most charcoal grills start this way, but the lighter fluid is dangerous and leaves an unpleasant flavor on the food.

With the chimney starter’s help, you can pile up the charcoals in the cylinder and light it up on the grate, either using newspaper or lighter cubes. Then place the starter on top of the cubes till you can see the top of coal burning to ash, and that’s when you’d know it’s ready

  • The Great Scrape Grill Tool

The Great Scrape is a cleaning tool for BBQ and wood grill scraper. This solid premium hardwood scraper is customized to fit into the barbeque grills uniquely, so there is no need to worry about it harming your grills. Plus, when using this, your backyard will start pleasantly smelling like burning firewood.

  • Heath Plaza Serving Tray

These beautifully handmade serving trays from Heath make your dishes look more appetizing and stylish. It comes in beautiful colors and looks real fancy when served to guests.

  • Sargadelos Bird Bud Vase

These porcelain size-A vases mimic the shapes of various birds and are completely hand-decorated. These will look classy and elegant when pouring cocktails to the guests, or just place it as a showpiece on a nightstand or a bookshelf and witness the beauty it brings to the background.

  • Thermoworks Thermopop

It is an instant-read thermometer to check whether the hot coals are getting to grill the food correctly and well-cooked. The last thing you’d want is undercooked or overcooked meat or veggies that end up making people sick or not willing to eat.

These thermopops come in different colors, and you can get two of these, one for the meat and another for veggies.

  • Grillaholics Grilling Basket

Perfect for cooking seasonal vegetables, a grilling basket ensures your food doesn’t get charred as that would taste very unpleasant. All that has to be done is slice them up into cubes, season them with spices and toss them around to get them perfectly textured.

  • US Forge Welding Gloves

When working with grills, you need to make sure you don’t get burnt from the tossing veggies and flipping meat. For that, these gloves will protect you from the 700 degrees temperature that’ll emanate from your charcoal grill.

  • Hedley & Bennett Classic Apron

For some people, wearing an apron means, “Alright, let’s get cookin’.” Others may feel a bit shy that they may look like a line cook. However, these aprons can protect your clothes from spills and charcoal dust. It also comes with pockets, so keeping the small stuff such as the thermometer becomes quite handy.

It may make you sweat more if you’re grilling during the summer, but for a fall BBQ, it’s perfect!

  • Roccbox Portable Outdoor Oven

Even with the fall afternoon simmering in BBQ smells, some people may also crave for a little pizza too. Fret not. There is a solution to that – a pizza can also be made outside while enjoying the cool, autumn weather.

This oven is easy to set up and can reach higher temperatures than a normal range. Try with seasonal toppings for the pizza and have a variety of hot sauces for extra flavor, and you won’t be disappointed.

Everybody grills during the summer, but try out a different routine this time in fall. It’s also the perfect season for a BBQ party to include pizzas and various cocktails on the menu. You can again ask for help from your friends and family members to help you host it.

The above list is considered to be the essentials required for a perfect BBQ meal of the day. All you have to do is clean the grill thoroughly, clean your meat and veggies properly, wear proper protective gear such as welding gloves and aprons, light up the coals carefully, and start cooking like a pro.

However, keep in mind a few things that could go wrong during your backyard barbecuing. Not cleaning your equipment or grilling the wrong type of foods can lead to a disaster. So is putting less amount of seasoning, not spreading coals evenly, and worst of all, leaving the grill unattended. You do not want to take that risk, especially with children around.

All in all, everything will be just fine if you use the right tools for the right job. You can always hire a helper, but it’s immensely satisfying to do it yourself, so do your homework thoroughly about grilling and how to use those tools properly if you’re not sure how to go on about it.
