5 tips for all Pianists

Playing the piano isn’t cake walk. It takes a lot of hard work to master this instrument. Initially it seems east to play the piano but as you advance with your piano lessons it gets difficult.

Here are some tips which can help you to play the piano when the going gets tuff. If you like to play piano then Why not buy a piano?

    1. Flexible Approach 

A lot of budding pianists put too much pressure on their fingers while practicing that the sound produced is unpleasant to the ears. Avoid hitting the keys, instead let your hands slide over the piano smoothly. Try to have a more relaxed and flexible hand. Having a more flexible hand gives you more control over the piano and can help you reach the farthest of the keys. 

    2. Ear training 

Listening to professional pianists can be a great exercise to learn the piano. It can also help you to improve your technique. Playing by the ear ensures that you improvise. You will also learn various hand movements and the style of diverse artists as well. 

     3. Finger movement and hand position

It is better if your start playing with your right hand first and then move to the other hand since separate hand movements are easier to grasp. It will also help you to play more efficiently. Once your coordination starts to build then you should move on to playing with both hands. 

     4. Sight reading technique 

It is a smart of understanding your music. Budding pianists aim to develop their proprioception skills that is awareness of body in space. Sometimes people get lost in the notes so much that they lose their sense of reality. Sight reading helps you to keep on track and helps you to anticipate the upcoming notes beforehand.

     5. Practice consistently 

Learning piano is not an easy job. These tricks and tips can help you only if you take your piano lessons seriously and practice every day. You can’t expect these tips to help you if you are not consistent with your practices. Your practice keeps you in touch with instrument. Therefore, a regular 15-minute session is an absolute essential. 

These were certain ways of learning the piano a little quicker and better. Make sure that along with these tips you join a proper piano lesson. It will help you to master all these techniques and build a rock-solid foundation for your learning. Playing the piano is an art that’s why it takes year long practices for people to master this skill. Remember not to rush yourself, give yourself time and you will see its effects on your playing.
