The bathroom of an apartment is an underrated space you can redesign and make your own. Don’t solely focus on your bedroom — your bathroom has so much potential!
You may not be able to change the main layout of the bathroom. But that doesn’t mean you can’t interject some style. There are plenty of accessories and elements you can put in there, making it functional and fashionable!
Here are some ideas to tweak your apartment bathroom without doing an extensive overhaul.

Having a cosmetic organizer is a practical way to store makeup. Depending on how much makeup you use, you may need a small or large one. Take stock of all that you own and decide which size is best.
If you end up having too much makeup you don’t know what to do with, then it’s time to toss some of it!
You don’t have to wear makeup to make use of a cosmetic organizer. It works to store many other bathroom accessories as well! Stash your tweezers, clippers, and other essentials in an organizer for easy access.

Then create more room to store things with a rolling storage cart.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to choosing what to have in the cart. Putting items in there that you use daily would make the most sense. It’ll be there on the cart, where it’ll be easy to grab.
So what kind of items should you store in the cart?
Stock your cart with extra washcloths, a hairdryer, and other supplies. There are many other supplies you can put in there too!
While you’re getting ready, it’ll be simple to find whatever you need!
If there’s room to spare, consider adding floating shelves in the bathroom. Floating shelves are an ideal way to take advantage of vertical space. Even if you’re out of floor or cabinet space, install shelves higher up on the wall. You’ll love having the extra storage!
On a floating shelf that’s high up on the wall, it would make more sense to put items you don’t need access to that often.
Add a few picture frames for a personalized touch. Another idea is to put a few toilet paper rolls in a basket, so you have some rolls on standby should you run out.
If the shelves are within reach, think about storing essentials. Your cosmetic organizer would look nice. Or putting jars that hold cotton balls and q-tips would work. Experiment to see what type of setup works best for you.
I’m always looking for practical solutions to store my essentials. One thing I’d like to try is a toilet paper stocker!
It’s a pain trying to figure out where to store extra TP. As I mentioned, you could hold a few rolls in a basket behind the toilet or on a floating shelf.
But another option is to use a toilet paper stocker. A functional item like this fits well in the corner of a bathroom. Stick it in one of the corners so it won’t eat up other valuable storage.
Getting a toilet paper stocker simplifies toilet paper storage. And, better yet, it makes it easy to find TP when you need it!
You don’t want too much going on in the bathroom. If you’re incorporating too many patterns and colors, it’s hard to relax. Your eyes are too busy moving from one element to the next!
Stick with solid colors as opposed to patterns and bright colors. Your intent should be to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Going into the bathroom is typically the first thing you do in the morning. If you’re confronted with orange and zigzags, it may wake you up but not result in feelings of calmness.
Opt to go with a few neutral colors, such as beige, ivory, grey, and some shades of white. You’ll no doubt feel relaxed while in the bathroom. Plus, it’ll be much easier to match the decor to these colors as well.
You may have a window in your bathroom. If that’s the case, take advantage of the natural light!
Allow the light to come in during the day. You’ll feel the warmth of the sun at certain times of the day when you’re in the bathroom. It’s something simple that can create warmth and happiness.
Sometimes, if there’s something glass in the bathroom, you might even be able to see a prism! Talk about an extraordinary decoration!
Not only will sunlight create a warm and inviting ambiance, but it’ll keep moisture out too. If you currently have blinds covering up the window, move them aside or get some sheer blinds instead.
Let the light shine through for free sunshine and natural beauty in your bathroom. You won’t regret it!
A bathroom isn’t complete without some humorous decor! We all know what takes place in the bathroom, so you might as well poke fun at it!
Make your guests chuckle with a print that says “Deja poo.” Or, a wall sign that says “best seat in the house” will make you and guests crack up.
Everyone could use some laughter. The bathroom is the perfect interior to make someone laugh out loud!
Now you have plenty of ideas on what to add to your bathroom. Why not get a head start while everything’s still fresh in your mind!
Interjecting your personality in your bathroom is a fun task that doesn’t have to take very long. Above all else, create a warm and inviting bathroom that’s also functional.
If there isn’t enough room for some essentials, move them to a different room. Or, it may be time to sort and get rid of a few things.
