What is remote control software and what can we do with it?

Remote control software can connect two computers and make it possible to control one computer with another device. These two computers are called the host computer which is the controlled computer and the client computer which controls another computer. After the connection is established, the operation of client computer will be copied into the host computer while the graphic images of the host computer will be displayed on client computer. With remote control software, you can help your friends to solve some computer technological problems or you can control your company computer to manage your file to finish some work after you’re off duty as you’re in front of the computer you control.

Here are two free remote control applications which can help you establish a remote connection. Anyviewer and Remote Assistance are both wonderful remote control applications. You can choose one to use after understanding their respective features.

Use AnyViewer to remotely control another computer over the Internet

AnyViewer is the free remote control software that has a clean and easy-to-use interface, helping you establish a stable and reliable connection between two computers. It has multiple connection methods to choose from according to your own situations.

How to use AnyViewer to remotely control your own computer

If you are at home and you need to use the company computer to manage some files to finish some work. You can use this method to connect.

Before establishing a connection, make sure the computers’ Internet is available.

Step 1. Download, install and open AnyViewer on both the two computers.

Step 2.In the host computer, Go to Settings>Recipient, and allow those following items. Type your security code in the entry bar and remember your security code.

Step 3. In the client computer, type the host computer’s device ID, which is set atomically by the software and click OK.

Step 4. Choose “Input security code” item and type the security code you set on the host computer. After you click ok, the connection between the two computers will be successfully established.

How to use AnyViewer to remotely control your friends’ computer

If your friend encounters a technological problem that he can’t fix by himself and you want to remotely control his computer to help him, you can choose this method.

Step 1. Download, install and open AnyViewer on both of your computer and your friend’s computer.

Step 2. Your friend needs to allow to accept remote control by going to Setting>Recipient.

Step 3. Type your friend’s device ID and click OK.

Step 4. Choose “Send a control request to your partner” option and click OK.

Step 5. Your friend’s computer will receive a pop-up window for request. After he allows this request, you will take the control of his computer. If he denies this request, the connection will be canceled.

Use Remote Assistance to remotely control another computer

Remote Assistance, an easy-to-use windows tool, allows you to give help after another computer sends an invitation to you. Follow the steps to use it.

Step 1. Press Windows key and R to open Run box and type “msra” to open Remote Assistance.

Step 2. In the host computer, choose “Invite someone you trust to help you” and click”Save this invitation as a file”. Save this file on the desktop and a pop-up window will appear.

Attention: Do not close this pop-up window. Once you close this pop-up window, the connection will be canceled.

Step 3. Send this Invitation file and the password which is showed in the pop-up window to the client computer.

Step 4. In client computer, double-click the Invitation file, type the password in the entry bar, and click OK, and then the client computer can control the host computer.

AnyViewer and Remote Assistance, as remote control software, have respective merits and defects. AnyViewer is a third-party application that you need to download on the internet to use while Remote Assistance is a Windows tool that can be used straightly. In security side, using AnyViewer is safer for its connection is encrypted. Remote Assistance needs an invitation to connect while AnyViewer has multiple connection methods to choose from according to uses’ situation. Choose the one you like to use and hope this post is helpful to you.
