Creative Alternatives to Netflix to Kill Time

You have probably already spent hours and even days cumulatively binge watching your favorite shows and movies on Netflix and for most days of the week now you find yourself struggling to find content that still interests you and to keep you busy. As you are completing every series you have already watched and every movie you have always wanted to see, the days and weeks are starting to feel longer than they actually are because you have nothing to kill time with except wait. This means it’s time to beef up your creative side with these alternative activities to keep you busy.

Learn something new

There are many online platforms that are available these days that are helpful in developing new skills. Whether you are looking for formal trainings with completion certificates that will help you land a job or just looking to improve a skill you want to pursue on the side as a hobby, there is a platform out there that will allow you to do so. If you pick up carpentry for example, there are plenty of online guides that will teach you the most basic skills including setting you up with the right tools and the best sanders for wood. Other popular websites out there for those who are looking to upgrade their professional portfolio include Code Academy, Udemy and Data Camp.

Start a DIY project

There could be some tasks that you want done or completed by a professional that you are still waiting on. The pandemic situation is nowhere near to getting resolved so the only way to get that project moving quickly is for you to do it alone. You can start with getting your hands on woodworks for example. Having skills in this field can help you get repairs and basic renovations completed at home. Wood is an excellent medium to start honing your carpentry skills. Pack on the best orbital sander for wood and other necessary tools to get you started. Before you know it you may be on your way to a full-scale home remodeling which is totally DIY

The quarantine period has forced many professionals to stay indoors for what seemed endless months of lockdown. Though it was cool at first, many are now finding themselves unproductive with their time at home. There are resources accessible at home that will help you channel your energy into something more productive than Netflix.
