Born and raised in Cuba, Holguin, Yolanda, belongs to a humble family. Dancing is not just a passion for her but also an obsession. She has been dancing since she was a child. Once she stepped into the ballet studio full of mirrors that echoed beautiful music, it inspired her to become a ballerina. Then, at the age of 15, she began her formal dance training at National Ballet School in Havana. There in the hands of great masters, she learned every move of ballet dance and became a soloist. Every piece of her performance is smooth, flawless, and coordinated. In fact, perfectly audible gasps of astonishment escape the audience each time Yolanda performs some almost implausible move. She also has performed with international ballet production houses like the Ballet of Victor Ullate in Madrid, the Norwegian National Ballet, and Staats Ballet in Berlin. In addition, she has participated as a guest ballerina all around the globe, like in Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, Italy, Spain, France, the USA, and Japan.
