Millions of Americans suffer back pain at some point in their lives. Seniors have the highest risk of getting back pain, but an increasing number of younger people get back pain now too. Poor lifestyle choices and genetics are just some of the other contributing factors to back pain.

When you sit in front of the computer, drive your car or stay in a sedentary position for a long time, it increases the risk of back pain. That is why you must take the proper precautions and consider the best ways to improve your back pain before it becomes more severe or debilitating. 

Fix Your Sleep Schedule

Is Your Sleep Schedule Out of Whack? If you have insomnia or an inconsistent work schedule, it can throw off your sleep schedule considerably. A person is supposed to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night. If they don’t get enough sleep, it could cause them to develop physical and mental health complications. Back pain could result from this too. 

For example, if someone works on the computer all day, they’re constantly hunched over and bending their back. If they don’t straighten their posture on a flat surface for at least 8 hours per day, it will eventually cause them to develop back pain. This person would need to fix their sleep schedule and sleep on a firm mattress to ease their pain. 

There are so many elements that could ruin your daily sleep schedule. Some of which include:

  • Artificial lighting
  • Working multiple shifts
  • Caffeine
  • Working too much
  • Studying too much
  • Depression or other emotional issues
  • Too much computer and phone use

CBD can be consumed orally or topically. If you need immediate pain relief in a particular area of your back, it is better to apply a topical CBD solution. But if you feel pain throughout your back, then an oral CBD might give you better results. Either way, you should always consult a doctor to clarify how CBD can work for you.

A stiff back from excessive sitting can cause significant pain. If you have no choice but to sit all day, then you should try retraining your spine and neck to fix your posture.
