 Money Struggles 

Money struggles can impact every aspect of your life. If you are constantly worrying about how you can afford to pay your next bill or whether you can afford your groceries, you may be noticing physical changes in your body. You may be more fatigued as a result of the stress, and this could be making everyday tasks more difficult.

However, money struggles can have significant effects on your body. Not only can this stress cause anxiety and depression, but in the long term, it can cause serious physical issues such as heart attacks and strokes. It is therefore crucial that, if you are worried about money, you do everything you can to sort out your finances.

 The Importance of Budgeting 

One of the best ways to keep track of your finances and manage your money is by budgeting. If you have never budgeted before, you may not understand why budgeting is necessary. However, it is hugely important to budget when you are trying to manage your money. It tracks your expenses, controls your money and helps you to save money. Here are some reasons why budgeting is so important:

  • Monitor your Unnecessary Expenses: When creating a budget, you first need to work out your ingoings and outgoings. As you are working out what you are spending each month, you will be able to see if there are any areas where you are wasting money. For example, you may work out that you are paying for a gym membership you no longer use. Once you address these areas, you can start saving money.
  • Start Saving: Once you have worked out how much money you have every month after expenses (such as tax, rent and groceries), you will be able to see how much money you actually have to spend, and can even begin to save. Saving is another vital aspect of money management, as it ensures financial safety if you ever run into monetary troubles.
  • Create a Budget: Budgeting and understanding your finances will ultimately reduce your stress levels as you will be in control of your money and won’t have to worry about whether you can afford your monthly expenses.

Once you have a budget sorted, there are some other easy ways to manage your money better.

  • Check your Bills: One of the easiest ways to manage your money properly is to check that you aren’t paying too much money on your Starion Energy, water, insurance, food and other necessary bills. If your bills are higher than usual, check to see why. Are there any lifestyle changes that you can make that can help lower your bills? If your water bill is significantly higher, think about ways to help conserve water by only washing full loads of clothes or dishes.
  • Cut Down on Takeaways/Coffees: While budgeting, you may have noticed that you are spending a lot of unnecessary money on takeaways and coffee. If you are trying to get a better grip on your finances, cutting down on the amount you eat out in order will help you save a lot of money in the long term.

Set a Savings Goal: When it comes to managing your money, savings are a must. If you want to start saving, work out how much money you could comfortably save per month, and set a goal of how much you want to save per year.
