Can You Order Cassette Valances Later?

Cassette Valances are one of the most important aspects of your roller shades. They can add both privacy and style to your home, and they’re easy to shop for. If you’re in the market for a new set of cassette valances, you may be wondering if you can order them later. In this article, you’ll learn everything you need to know about when it’s ideal to shop for roller shade cassette valance. Read on to learn more.

First, it’s important to understand what cassette valances are.

What are Cassette Valances?

A Cassette valance is a decorative piece that fits over the top of your roller shade, hiding the hardware and giving the shade a more polished look. They come in a variety of colors and styles, so you can find the perfect match for your home’s décor.

A cassette valance is designed to completely cover the hardware of your roller shade since it has panels on both the front and top.

Now that you know what Cassette valances are, you’re probably wondering if it’s possible to order Cassette Valances Later? The answer is no! And here is why. For you to install the cassette valance, you’ll need to first fit it in the headrail of the roller shade.

So, If you order your valance after you’ve installed your roller shade, it likely won’t fit. That’s because a headrail that has been mounted without a cassette valance comes equipped with a different set of components than one that has been designed to house a cassette valance.

Are There Any Options If You Want To Add A Valance To An Existing Roller Shade?

If you’re set on adding a cassette valance to an existing roller shade, your best bet is to purchase a fascia valance. The fascia valance is a piece that offers a traditional look, and you mount it by clipping it on the two sides of the roller shade. This type of valance can be added to an existing roller shade without the need to remove or replace the entire headrail.

The flip side is that a fascia valance is relatively more costly than a cassette valance. So, if you’re looking for an affordable option, then a fascia valance may not be the best choice for you.

Squared Cassette Valance

Besides the standard cassette valance, many people seek squared cassette valance that could give a rich look to their windows. These valances are normally flat and do not jut out like a regular cassette valance. This gives them a more polished look that can really add to the appearance of sophistication in any room.

The Benefits Of Having A Cassette Valance System

Having said that, let’s look at the benefits of having a cassette valance system for your roller shades.

Aesthetically Pleasing:

Cassette valances give your window treatments a neater appearance. If you’re someone who prefers a clean and polished look, then cassette valances are definitely the way to go.

Customizable for different window sizes:

Another great thing about cassette valances is that they can be easily customized for different window sizes. This makes them a great option for homes with irregularly shaped windows.

Increased Privacy:

In addition to their aesthetic appeal, cassette valances also offer increased privacy. When the valance is in the closed position, it blocks out light and provides privacy.

Improved Insulation:

Another great benefit of cassette valances is that they improve insulation. By blocking out light and drafts, they help to keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

UV radiation protection:

Cassette valances also offer protection from UV radiation. By blocking out the sun’s rays, they help block out the harmful rays, thus reducing fading and damage to your furniture and flooring.

Installing The Cassette Valance

To install the cassette valance, start by assembling its components, which include:

  • Aluminum Valence Cassette
  • bracket set
  • valance clip set
  • fixing screws

Once you have all the necessary components, follow these steps:

  • Take the assembled cassette bracket and fit it on the window
  • Next, mark the areas where you’ll screw the brackets in place when mounting the valance.
  • Now, dismantle the brackets from the valance.
  • Using screws, start the mounting process by installing the brackets in the areas you’ve just marked using screws.
  • Once the two brackets are in place, fit in the roller shade
  • Finish off by installing the cassette valance to complete the process.

Cassette valances are a great way to add style and privacy to your home. They’re easy to install and can be customized to fit any window size. While they’re more expensive than other types of valances, they offer increased privacy and protection from UV radiation. If you’re looking for a new set of valances, be sure to shop for them before you install your roller shades.
