Let’s talk about the general rules of admission to universities in 2021.
So, it’s about time for the USE and the wave of admissions will begin. In 2021, the college admissions office will begin operating on June 20. The application period for admission to the desired institution of secondary vocational education will last until August 10, but if necessary, each college has the right to extend the admissions committee until November 25.
Extension of admission documents often applies to correspondence departments, if the general flow fails to complete a full group (there is a shortage of students).
Before you apply, you need to clarify the complete list of required documents for first-year enrollment. You can do this in person by visiting the educational institution or by studying its website.
Most often the package of documents for admission to the college include the passport of the applicant, certificate of secondary incomplete / complete education, application for admission (admission), a photo 3 * 4 in several copies, documents confirming the benefits, portfolio, etc.
It is possible to send documents to the chosen university by the applicant by mail or courier, by e-mail, through the web-site of the university (attaching screenshots of all documents and filling in all required fields), or by visiting the admission committee in person.
To become a student of any Higher Education Institution of Russia, a graduate of 9 or 11 classes may apply for admission, but he/she does not need to demonstrate results of CSE or USE. It is sufficient to attach the certificate to the application.
The results of the GCSE and USE do not play a role in the LMS. Competitive selection is based on the calculation of the average score of the certificate. The higher it is, the more chances you have to get a state-funded place to study at an EIU.
In some cases, colleges have the right to assess and take into account the CSE, but this rule usually applies to new or the most popular, complex areas.
If the entrant has chosen a creative profile (art music, design, fashion, choreography and mystery, etc.), then he will have to take an additional exam, where you need to demonstrate your abilities and capabilities, talents. The creative entrance tests include: physical education, drawing, painting, composition, interview, audition, etc.
Passing grades at the UAS are set for each major or field of study. The minimum threshold assumes that the participant with the specified minimum score can take part in the competitive selection, but no one guarantees admission to the educational institution.
Passing scores are established on the same specialty for admission to the budgetary place, and for commerce. Most often the “pass” to the for-profit is lower than to the state tuition.
The more prestigious the school (especially if it is part of a top university), the stricter the requirements for applicants. Experts do not exclude that in 2021 the average passing score for state-financed education in the EI will be at the level of 4.35-4.9 points (depending on the specialty). It should be noted that educational institutions have the right to set the passing score in the area of 5.0 (that is, to accept only excellent students).
If you enter an institution of higher education in another city, you should immediately find out if it has a dormitory. In recent years, this is becoming rare. Even if there is one, you should specify the requirements for accommodation: in some educational institutions it is required to provide the state of the financial-personal account. If it turns out that the parents or the applicant himself is able to rent housing, he will not be provided with a dormitory.
Politicians, analysts, and experts have repeatedly noted that the country lacks “working hands.” It is not shameful to study at an institution of higher learning, nor is it worse than at a university. Now we will explain why:
Free or paid: there is a choice. Of course, training on a budget basis is “more pleasant” to the student and the parents. But tuition on a commercial basis will cost many times cheaper than at the university.
OGE/EGE is not required.
Internship and employment. At the end of college, the student is awarded a certain qualification, a specialty in which he can work or continue his studies at the university.
Scholarship. Full-time students of higher education institutions (most often studying on a budgetary basis) are entitled to scholarships, social and material benefits.
