Having a meal plan can save you a lot of time and even help cut down on food wastage. This would mean you will buy only what you require and use up all that you have bought. All that you need to do is decide on your cooking style, figure out what you can make with the ingredients that you have, and fit the process into your schedule.  You can add a new recipe or two once in a while.

Learn the Art of Making Less

The first thing you will have to learn when cooking for one is how to cut the recipes in half. This should become easier if you are ready to invest in a kitchen scale. Make it a point to figure out what meals are good enough to be stored in the freezer. You can easily stock up these and reduce wastage.
