Speaking of its effectiveness, people who are above 30’s are more prone to develop serious symptoms and people with any kind of existing illness.

According to Pediatricians in Pakistan parents should be at ease regarding one thing that children are less likely to develop a serious symptom like shortness of breath. Observed from most of the reported cases children have mild symptoms like sore throat, fever and fatigue.

Fever and cough are common symptoms observed in children, which are followed by diarrhea, fatigue and belly pain. Your child may have pneumonia that too with or without symptoms. However in all cases the parents should seek immediate help from a trusted pediatrician and follow all the guidelines immediately and effectively.

How to keep your children Safe:

The good news is that kids don’t get affected as easily as the alders but the bad news is they can spread the virus mistakenly and unknowingly much faster. So clean your house thoroughly, wash their hands after every hour, take them to shower one time a day and especially if they were playing out. Try to keep them away from anyone visiting the house. Make them practice social distancing through fun games.

Avoid crowds so people don’t get close to your adorable babies, stay away from sick person even if he or she is someone close. Teach your children to cough and sneeze by covering their face from elbow.

Children with Existing Medical Conditions:

You need to be extra careful if your baby is suffering from a diseases because COVID is game of immunity. Those who are already in a medical condition have low immunity levels and it is difficult for them to sustain such conditions.

Asthma:

People suffering from asthma have serious breathing issues and COVID attacks the lungs of its host. People with respiratory diseases should be extra careful and vigilant. Avoid every gathering and any place you fear may carry germs.

Diabetes:

One of the main issues people fail to recover is Diabetes. People who are not suffering it are less likely to get affected by severe symptoms of COVID. Sugar level inconsistency in the blood can really affect the immune system badly. So if your child has any problem like this get immediate help from the health provider.

How to treat COVID in Children?

Treating a child can be tricky and easy to depend upon age. Luckily if your child suffers from this disease they can recover at a very good speed with proper rest and a lot of fluids. Keep your child away from other germs which may initiate other inactive symptoms. For the medication of fever and cough consult a professional pediatrician.

If you are not willing to go out in this pandemic, you can also consult pediatrician online via video call. There are a number of platforms that are taking care of the patients through online consultation.

In many areas, this disease is a stigma. Misinformation floating more powerfully than the virus itself. So be responsible and stop spreading fake and vague news and also if you know someone who is contributing in spreading misinformation tell them how it can affect someone’s life.

In the end we’d like to suggest, try to indulge your children in games which act as a guide and make them understand the situation. Seeing your children in distress is the worst feeling ever and we hope and wish safety upon all. Stay Safe!
