The loot

Looting is the core gameplay of this game which lets you get hold of tons of valuable items and weapons. You will get gears everywhere but the trick here is to discover the best places to get hold of them. Explore the towns around your map where you could find the low-level loot. To carry the loot you will need to wear backpacks, pants, and jackets to increase storage. You are allowed to carry just two primaries and one secondary weapon. However, you are allowed to put the secondary weapons in our inventory. If you see people and buildings around then there is bound to be some loot close by.

The gears

Without decent gear, you do not have a strong character in Deadside. The good news is that it is not all that difficult to get decent gear in the game. With just a few weapons you can try to get more gears. It is easy to find water and food in the buildings and the NPCs will have lots of items and weapons there that you can loot. The military base is the best place to get some high-level gear but NPCs are where you get hold of some decent gears.

The money

Money is important in the game and without money, you can buy nothing. Money lets you buy water, food, weapons, ammo, bandage, and a lot more. The weapons too need money so make sure that you work on your money supply. Take care to spend money only on the essentials. If you can get things for free by looting then it makes no sense to spend money on them. Sell an item which is the easiest way to make some money in the game. The second way is to complete missions that are marked with a red waypoint on the map. Selling some rare armor and weapons also gives you tons of money.

The missions

Missions are the best place where you can lay your hands on loot. These are also highly challenging. The missions are categorized into easy, medium, hard, and epic. The quality and the amount of your loot are dependent on the difficulty of the level. Having a team is a great idea that can help you win the AI bots. Also, lean around the corners with the Q and E which is crucial because the beasts are going to have a tough time hitting you when you lean. To complete these waves get some amazing cover and bring plenty of supplies. Bandages, water, ammo, and food are must-haves that will ensure that you survive the mission.

Food and water

You get food like canned goods which can be got from around the buildings. Everything that you consume will add a bit to your health and will bring up the level of water and food.

Healing

The only way to heal is to use bandages. You can craft those bandages yourself or buy them. You can tear the clothes and rags and turn them into bandages which can be done by rubbing liquor or alcohol. This is recommended to be prepared for emergencies.

The squads

Here is how you can join and leave a squad in the game. Press on F to join a new squad. This sends them an invite and they can accept you by pressing on the F5 key. You can leave the squad by pressing on M and going to the top right corner of the map.

Storages

There are a few kinds of storage in the game. Let us figure out how each works.

• Safe Zone Storage- This is available in the safe zone with 12 inventory slots. It is used to store money or some extra weapons. In case you happen to lose your kit then there will be back up in your safe storage.
• Containers- These storage boxes are used to temporarily store the items. It prevents despawning of the items so you can get them back later.
• Base Storage- These are boxes that you craft and place in the base. The storage area is used to keep crafted weapons and materials.

Building a base

Building a base is a bit different in Deadside. Claim the land and place a scaffold which is the basic foundation of the base. You need to then craft out a deck to use as the floor. Decide on the kind of scaffold that you will use. You can make another scaffold on top of it to allow wall construction. The main reason to build a base is to store the items. So if you do not wish to store items then there is no point in building a base.
