Five Gift Ideas For an Extra Special Father’s Day

With Father’s Day rapidly approaching on June 20th, it is your opportunity to demonstrate to your father just how much you love and appreciate him. However, it can be hard to find the perfect gift for your father that perfectly shows just how much he means to you. To help you out, here are five gift ideas for an extra special Father’s Day.

1) Meal At A Nice Restaurant

If your dad is a foodie and enjoys socializing, a meal at a nice restaurant with you and your family might be the ideal Father’s Day gift for him. Find out if there is a particular restaurant that he likes to visit, or would love to experience, and book a table. For instance, he might be keen to relax at a premium fine dining restaurant in your local area. Be sure to make a reservation way in advance to avoid disappointment during the busy Father’s Day weekend!

2) Cologne

A special bottle of cologne makes a great Father’s Day gift as it is an item that your father may not otherwise go out and buy for himself. Find out what your dad’s favorite cologne is and surprise him with a bottle. Alternatively, a cologne subscription box will allow your father to test out and try a number of different colognes before settling on one that he likes. This provides an ideal introduction to the world of colognes if your father is just beginning to dip his toe in the cologne water.

3) Sports Tickets

Is your dad a big baseball supporter? Does his life revolve around the Superbowl? If your dad is a big sports fan, you might consider surprising him with tickets to watch his favorite sports team play at their home stadium, for an extra special Father’s Day. This might be an even more meaningful gift if it is a bonding activity which you carried out together throughout your childhood, giving you the opportunity to reminisce and strengthen your bond with your father.

4) Bottle Of Wine

If your father is a wine connoisseur, you could consider surprising him with a special bottle of wine on Father’s Day. This might be a vintage bottle from his favorite vineyard, or a mix and match crate consisting of different wines that he can try. You could make your gift that bit more special by buying him a vintage bottle of wine from a significant year, such as the year you were born.

5) Watch

A special watch makes a great heritage Father’s Day gift that you can pass down the generations. Consider your father’s taste when buying a watch: would he prefer a classic watch with a leather strap or a modern hi-tech model that can be synced with other technology? You could even make this gift that bit more personal by adding a personal engraving to the back of the watch or its metal strap, commemorating your love for your father.
