Food Projects to do with your Kids

Kids love helping adults with their chores. They love spending time with adults and doing things that grownups do. Many love hanging in the kitchen with their mothers. Hence, it is a good idea to create some food projects for kids which can help them learn and fuel their creativity.

Food projects will help in stretching their creative minds. Other activities like pottery at home and craft projects also encourage them to be productive. Some of the food recipes that you can try out with them are:

  1.   Toast with animal faces

Kids love food that is decorative and interactive. So, toast the bread for them and then, give them Nutella and peanut butter with a spoon. Ask them to apply it on the toast.

You can give them cut fruits like bananas, strawberries, and blueberries and nuts and seeds like walnuts, almonds and pumpkin seeds for decoration. They can make cartoon faces on them.

  1.   Make them knead dough

Kids love to play with clay. So, they will love to knead the dough as well. Help them to take out equal quantities of flour, water, and oil. Then, start kneading the dough and let them follow you. This will develop their mortar skills as well.

Another good way to enhance their mortar skills is by enrolling them in classes like sculpting clay for kids. It is also an interactive skill, and kids will have fun learning to make crafts in such classes.

  1.   Rainbow Grilled Cheese

This recipe can be made with mozzarella cheese and food colors. Add different colors to different parts of the cheese and ask the child to mix it with their hands. They will surely enjoy this activity.
