Fashion Model Georgina Gentle is an individual who has inspired thousands of people around the world with her personal brand. Recently, we had the chance to get on an interview with Georgina and during the interview, she talked about how she got into the fashion industry and also shared advice on how to build and nurture your brand.

Can you tell us about your journey to being the individual you are today?

Ever since I was little, I’ve always had this eagerness to join the fashion industry, specifically modeling. I started modeling at the age of 13 and signed with my first agency at the age of 19. Back then, I ventured into fitness and signed deals with large fitness brands in Australia

Well, I could say my push to the larger scene came when some of my fitness videos went viral. After this, my social media audience grew considerably. At the end of 2017, I was asked to go on a trip to shoot for a company with other models in my field of work. This trip brought in multiple deals from brands around the world.

What advice can you give to individuals who are striving to grow their brands?

Well, the best advice I can give to anyone wanting to start a brand is to be authentic. Authencity has proven time and again to be the best approach to brand growth.

When I got into online media, I was in the fitness niche. I posted a lot of fitness content and eventually, my brand became an online sensation. Numerous brands saw my content and asked for deals with me. I also got to do large campaigns for some of the biggest name-brands in Australia. All of this came because I was able to exhibit a style I love. Stay Authentic! People can tell when you try to mimic other brands and that’s a big turn off.

Another thing that I often see brands do is not knowing their audience. So many brands have gone out of existence today because they failed to garner enough knowledge about their audience and kept on pouring out content that doesn’t appeal to them.

Many people are trying to grow online. However, the most concerning mistake many of them make isn’t knowing their “crowd.” My advice to every one of them is to realize their target audience as this will greatly affect their growth. The moment you choose to turn into an influencer, you are opening yourself up to the public. You have to recognize who you are making content for, what they like to see, and how you can give that experience to them.
