Google has started rolling out the latest version v71.1.3578.80 of chrome, popularly known as Chrome 71 for Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. This new update will now be able to block the malicious Ads on the websites which give abusive experience to the users.
The Ads can be the Pop-ups or the dialog boxes or warnings having a lot of buttons such as close ad button which do not even close the ad but leads to a different webpage.
Chrome 71 will be available for everyone in a few weeks.
Google announced about these features of Chrome 71, in its blog last month. According to Google more than half of the abusive ads used by spammers and phishing schemes were not blocked by its current protections available for Chrome. But in Chrome 71 all these protections would be there for the users.
What are the new features in Chrome 71? Let’s see
Google search console’s Abusive Experience Report can be used by the website owners to discover any changes needed. A 30 day window will be given by Chrome 71 to make changes before Chrome 71 start to remove them.
A new payment warning screen will also be there, which will appear when websites won’t disclose if the information provided will be used for subscriptions or such. Users can choose to proceed back or forth as per they desire.
On mobile, Google is introducing setting option of “Payments methods” and “addresses and more” for quicker management and making easier to understand by splitting its current option “Autofill and Payments”.
A new feature has also been introduced in Chrome 71 for a great User Experience. The Autoplay policies block automatically played audios and videos of the site. But still it was being used by a lot websites. So, now Chrome 71 will be using user activation for speech synthesis, so that a website won’t start talking to you the very moment you open it.
