 Guide for Cleaning Your Stair

In cleaning your staircase, you need not make a mountain out of a molehill, with appropriate guidance it becomes really easy. In four steps, learn how to clean your Staircase

  1.       Start at the top; climb the staircase with your broom or vacuum and then work your way down, this way, you wouldn’t push any dirt to places you have already cleaned. Gravity is also your friend remember?
  2.       Clear all toys and Valuables; if you live with kids, there would always be litter.  Abandoned toys, socks, a shoe, etc. If you do not put these in place before attempting to clean your stairs, you will slow yourself down and be more likely to get frustrated.
  3.       Clean the walls; The walls of a staircase are often used to balance and as a result, there are often a lot of handprints on the walls. You can wash your walls the regular way, soap and water or you could also employ the use of microfiber duster or spray cleaners
  4.       Use a Vacuum; a vacuum cleaner should be used especially when you have a rug on the staircase. With a vacuum, you can get more dirt out twice as fast and remove all dust.
  5.       Clean the back; clean the back of the stake case and get rid of all cobwebs using a vacuum attachment or a long broom.
  6.       Mop the staircase if necessary; especially if you do not have a carpet on the staircase. If you do, it is always a good idea to give the rug or carpet a good wash every three to four months.

Guide for Cleaning your Hallway

If your hallway is the entrance to the house, this place often gets dirtier faster than the entire house. The degree of dirt may also vary. If you are in warmer climates, you would have a lot of dirt, however, if otherwise, you may be left with much murk and dirt to clean.

Not to worry, your hallway can be neat and maintained with the steps below;

  1.       Install a walk-off mat. You could even install two, one outside and another just on the other side of the door. This helps catch the first degree of dirt
  2.       On cleaning day, sweep and/or vacuum the walk-off mat on the surface before going ahead to roll them up for a wash or a replacement
  3.       Clean the area where the mop was located: vacuum and mop the areas.
  4.       As an extra precaution, go ahead and run another round of cleaning both sweeping and mopping before replacing the walk-off mat.

Conclusion;

Cleaning could be daunting, but with appropriate instructions, a willingness to work, and then the right tunes, it turns out to be a piece of cake.
