Do you ever wonder how many people have TikTok?

Tiktok is the sixth-largest global social network, and its audience is constantly growing. There is a range of reasons why the platform is dominant.

Some of the factors are:

  • The platform has a great library of popular songs.
  • The platform suggests to users relevant content based on their preferences and behavioral data.
  • The platform is a hub of various niche communities ranging from art to sports or food.

But one of the exciting realities of using TikTok is how easy it is to become successful. A great video can go from zero followers to thousands overnight. No other social platform can promise this level of virality or extended reach so easily and quickly.

In other words, learning how to make TikTok videos has never been more significant.

In this blog post, we’ll take a look at types of TikTok videos, discover how you can use TikTok for business, and walk through the stages of how to create a TikTok video with the potential to go viral.

Types of TikTok Videos

We’ve gathered a list of three examples of TikTok videos that you’re likely to come across on the platform.

1. Social Media Challenges

Want to gain more followers on TikTok? Try participating in trending challenges and then post the video on TikTok. Besides that, you can go further and start your own challenge using your branded hashtag and hope that it goes viral.

2. Educational Videos

Did you know that videos that teach how to do things are watched twice as much as pet videos? TikTok is not just for funny videos. It’s also perfect for informative content in an interesting and easy-to-digest format.

Some medical professionals have built huge audiences by creating videos about current topics such as coronavirus and vaping.

3. Inspirational Videos

While motivational content is great for wellness influencers and business people, it is also good for any type of brand. When producing ideas, spend time reflecting on what is important to you, your mission, and what you think will resonate with your customers.

Of course, the list of content categories we have mentioned above is not full. Don’t limit yourself to only these concepts and constantly explore new genres.

We can’t miss things that you shouldn’t cross if you don’t want to get a TikTok ban:

  1. Share content that threatens public safety
  2. Share any form of sexual content
  3. Post content that depicts self-harm
  4. Share violent content
  5. Promote illegal activities

Sticking to the platform guidelines helps you avoid being banned.

How to Make Eye-Catching TikTok Videos?

Ok, you have graduated from scrolling the For You page to creating your own videos and sharing them. But you don’t know where to start, and you can’t deal with what the buttons are for, and you’re confused about the sheer amount of video-editing tools available.

That’s where our article comes in. In this subtopic, we’ll consider three different ways of making TikTok videos.

Let’s start!

Option#1. Use the built-in camera and editor.

You can shoot straight from this social media platform. TikTok has its own built-in camera and editor that allows you to quickly and accurately produce content with TikTok-style elements such as music, fonts, colors, and more.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to record your first TikTok video:

  1. Once you’ve installed the app and created your account, it’s time to start shooting! Click the Plus icon to record a video.
  2. Then, select from a wide range of various effect and recording tools located on the right and bottom of the screen.
  3. After selecting recording effects, choose the video duration and click the Record button.
  4. Once you’ve finished recording, hit the checkmark to go to TikTok’s video editor. Here you add music, stickers, text, or effects.
  5. If you’re satisfied with everything, click the Next button.
  6. Finally, save your masterpiece.

Option#2. Upload an existing video from your library.

However, If you’re shooting a video that consists of several parts, it makes more sense to shoot with your smartphone’s camera, as the TikTok app has a 60-second time limit. Then you can shoot one long clip with your phone’s camera and edit it down for TikTok.

Option#3. Use free webcam recording software

A webcam recorder is a perfect tool if you want to create an educational video. The format of educational videos may vary – from involving a person on camera to interviewing people using screen capture technology.

If you’re about to create an instructional video using screen capture, below, there is a step-by-step guide. But before you begin the process, here are some things to know:

  • Webcam software is absolutely free, and there are no video length limitations.
  • A screen recorder captures video from your camera and saves it as a video file.
  • You can record your face and voice simultaneously with the app.
  • By using a screen recorder, you can enjoy advanced recording features, including an automatic time scheduler, mouse and keyboard effects, support for drawing on videos, and more.

To make a TikTok video, follow these steps:

  1. First, you open your online recorder in the browser. Whether you are on Windows, Linux, or Mac, the app works with any operating system.
