How To Use the Force in Real Life

Are you a huge Star Wars fan?

Star Wars is, without a doubt, a titan of modern culture. “May the force be with you” is a saying that has found its way into everyday life, but it has a deeper meaning. Like many forms of art, life imitates it, and there is plenty of wisdom to glean from the Star Wars franchise.

It may shock you to know that the Force is real, or at least the tenants surrounding it. You’ll likely never be able to zap people or move things with your mind, but that isn’t the point. The Force is a state of mind, concentration, and ultimately mental health.

If you’re interested in how meditation can help you unlock your inner Jedi, then read on.

The True Nature of the Force

Fans of the franchise will know that the Force is all around us. It flows through our beings, and a true Jedi can feel and sense it. Using the Force isn’t a magic trick or a superpower though, it’s a way of mastering your mind.

Through meditation and concentration, it’s possible to achieve both serenity and clarity. By training your mind, you’ll find your focus is sharper and harder to break. You won’t get rattled as much by stressful situations, and you’ll be able to reach higher in life and at work.

This is what the Force is – mastering your mind and being one with it to get the most out of yourself.

How To Train and Use the Force

When people think of the force, they think of lightsabers and physical training. Before you can use your Luke Skywalker lightsaber, you first need to master the Force on a mental level.

What many fail to see is it’s Luke’s mental training with Yoda that unlocked his abilities. Meditation is the key, but many find it boring and impossible. The trick is to turn it into a game with clear goals.

Start by relaxing your breathing and your muscles in turn. Relax your head, neck, and shoulders by rolling them. Imagine the stress and tenseness sliding away to your feet.

Continue downward until you’ve relaxed your feet. Afterward, focus on your breathing. Whenever your mind wanders, don’t chastise yourself.

The point of Force training is to reduce how often your mind wanders, but there is no rush. By turning it into a game like this, you can track your progress over time.

You’ll feel good about seeing your concentration improve. You’ll also notice improvements in work, life, and mental health as well. Meditation may be a complex process, but the key is consistency.

As long as you do it often, you’ll be a master Jedi in no time.

The Force is With You

After all this mental training, why not look the part? Get yourself a lightsaber and boost the force further. With physical training and getting into the character, you’ll feel the force flow better.
