It Changed My Life When I Switched to Mint Chocolate Protein Bars

I’m in my late forties and someone who had, up until around six months ago, had major problems with my weight management. I’ve always been an office worker, so I’m not amazingly active and the regular snacks that I seemed to need each and every day were holding me back in terms of physical fitness. That was until the middle of last year when I spotted an advertisement for mint chocolate protein bars.

I’m a sucker for most mint choc foods (this flavor of ice cream gets me salivating just thinking about it!), which is the main reason why it caught my attention. I would likely have noticed any ad for mint chocolate products, but this one was different – it claimed to offer some health benefits. “Chocolate with health benefits?” I thought…tell me more! 

These Mint Chocolate Protein Bars Curbed My Hunger

Impulsivity is my thing, so I jumped in with both feet and order some. They came through the mail from a company called PROBAR in just a few days, and I stashed a few of them in my work bag, so I wouldn’t forget them for work the following day. 

11 am rolled around, and I got my standard hunger cravings, so I reached for one of my new protein bars from my work bag. Now, healthy snacks (in my mind) aren’t ever as nice as non-healthy ones, but I was very pleasantly surprised by their taste and consistency. 

I Got NO Afternoon Cravings by Day 2! 

Straight away, I was quite impressed with how filling my new mint chocolate protein bars were, but what amazed me by the second day was that my afternoon cravings didn’t even materialize. That’s right, by 4 pm the next day, I realised that I’d FORGOTTEN my afternoon snack. I can tell you – that’s not like me at all! Ask any of my friends! 

I also was able to say goodbye to that horrible slump in energy that I used to get after lunch. It didn’t go straight away, but the longer I stuck to my protein bars for snacks, the more it became just a memory. 

I’m Fitter & Happier Than Ever Before – Thanks to the Bars!

I don’t want you to go away from reading this blog thinking “Right! Mint chocolate protein bars made you fitter…of course, they did!”. I can assure you that they were crucial in getting me to believe that weight loss was possible and empowering me to focus on my fitness.

The little bit of success I had in getting rid of my workplace hunger cravings gave me the confidence and belief that I could more steps in the right direction. Just a few short months later and now I’m a regular at the gym. I’m no Adonis, but I can hold my own, and I feel SO much better. 

I still have my bars every day too, as they’re now helping me increase my lean muscle and get even more confident and happy. Is it all down to the bars? No. But I can tell you that they played an enormous role in my well-being and are still doing so to this day.
