Literature activities essential for kids

As your child starts their educational journey, you will want to find the right tools to help them succeed. One of these tools is reading and writing material appropriate for language and literacy activities for kindergarten -aged kids. The following is a list of recommended Kindergarten reading and writing materials to help get your child started on the right foot.

1. Little Skool House Readers – These readers are designed for Kindergarten students and cover various topics, including animals, colors, counting, shapes, and more. 2. Scholastic My First Word Book – This word book is a great way for your child to start recognizing words and their corresponding objects. Each page has a picture of an object with three different ways to describe the word, including rhyming words. This book also comes with a free matching game.
3. Scholastic My First Sight Words – Learning sight words should be a priority for Kindergarten students as it is the foundation for literacy success in first grade and beyond. This booklet contains 20 sight words that your child should learn at this stage, along with examples of using those words in sentences. Your child can use this booklet as morning work or practice after lunch each day until they have all twenty words down pat.
4. Spelling Workout – This workbook is a great choice for children who want to work on their spelling skills. It includes activities for all 26 letters of the alphabet, plus practice words and writing exercises.

Make learning fun. Learning should be enjoyable for your child, so try to find activities that pique their interest. Whether reading books, writing stories, or playing educational games, make sure your child gets the most out of their education.
