Jobs Positions Offered

As a supermarket chain, they offer a wide array of different job opportunities. Working in a supermarket requires patience and endurance since there are a lot of back and forth movements and frequent interactions with customers. Ideally, the employer looks for applicants with good communication skills and customer service experience for every position. Applicants should be able to multitask and be accepting of working in shifts and weekends when necessary. Here are different job vacancies the company offers; 

Cashier

The cashier is the one who handles all the money transactions at our supermarkets. They bear the responsibility to manage the cashier stations, monitor the circulation of money and all inquiries made at the store about product prices. 

Driver

Drivers are who most businesses depend on to pick up products from suppliers to the store and make deliveries. The primary requirement for this position is a driver’s license, but other vital and useful qualifications needed are, the ability to multi-task and good communication skills essential for making interactions with customers. 

Maintenance Worker

Employees operating under this department carry the responsibility of keeping stores clean and in order. Duties are assigned to workers in a manner that each one works to maintain a specific part of the store branch. Applicants applying for this job must be ready to multi-task and possess excellent cleaning and organization skills. 

Pharmacy Tech

The pharmacy techs are responsible for the pharmacy section in their stores. They handle all our customer’s inquiries and needs in that section of our stores. With that in mind, employers are looking for people with great customer service skills and a good personality. 

Stock Clerk

A stock clerk makes sure that the right number of products are displayed in a particular store for a customer to buy. Applicants for this role need to have sufficient organization skills but more importantly need to be willing and prepared for manual work such as lifting. 

Meat Associate

A meat associate oversees the meat section of the stores. They are responsible for taking care of all customers’ inquiries in regard to meat products and helping them pick out their meat purchases when necessary. Applicants for this role need to have great customer service skills and be knowledgeable enough in the field of meat. 

Floral Clerk

Floral Clerks take care of all Ingles Markets flower shops. This entry-level job requires adequate communication skills but more importantly needs someone with a lot of creativity because they may be required to arrange the flowers. 

Shift Manager

Shift managers ensure that the store receives the right amount of customers every day. They are the ones who regulate daily conduct, employee work schedules, handle employees’ requests and deal with absenteeism. 

Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager’s job is to help with the general management of the store branch. They may also work hand in hand with the shift manager to schedule employee’s work shifts. Their main job, however, is to offer training to all the new employees and maintain the quality of services and the company’s performance in general. 

General Manager

The general manager is responsible for the upkeep of the whole store. With the assistance of the assistant manager, they oversee the daily functions and performance of the supermarket. He /She makes sure everything is running smoothly and all employees fulfill their duties.
