Connect with others by creating a list, blogging, or chatting in the virtual student center. There are plenty of tools you can use to help stay connected to what matters most in your life!

Creating Lists

We’re guessing that you probably have a lot of lists in your life, but did you know that you can create lists on My CFISD Net for everything from books to movies and even restaurants. You can also collaborate with others by creating a shared list, which makes it easier to share ideas with other people. All it takes is one click to share your list (or your list’s link) with family and friends or add new items by adding them yourself. It’s super easy!

Parent Resources

If you’re a teacher looking for resources, you can log in to Schoology using your Texas Education Agency credentials. Once logged in, you’ll be redirected to your personalized Teacher Resources page and can search through content by grade level or subject area (see image below). If you’re interested in following an individual resource, instead of just searching for it all at once, just click on the starred (*) text next to any item to add it to your Favorites. This way, every time someone in one of your classes clicks on a resource that has been starred for them personally, they’ll see what other teachers have selected as well. Share with parents: Are there any resources from school that you think might be helpful for parents too?

Student Resources

There are over 100 self-service resources available to students and parents on my cfisd net. The platform offers everything from a homework help center, to an Ask Me to channel where you can connect with teachers. It also includes a directory that helps you find information about clubs, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. You can even share your academic success by adding awards and accolades to your profile. Plus, parents will love how easy it is to see what’s going on at school with all of our upcoming events right at their fingertips! Don’t have time to stop by your school or district offices in person? Now you don’t have to!

School News & Events

The homepage of my cfisd net features current school news and events as well as an interactive calendar. You can also create your own profile page and have access to a number of resources. There are links to important applications, school forms, and information on how to get more involved at our schools. As you browse through my cfisd net, if you see something that needs fixing or if you think something would make it easier for you to do what you need to do, we want to know about it! Take a moment to click on any feedback link that might appear and let us know what’s on your mind.

Teacher Resources

The How to Teach section on My CFISD Net lets you quickly find lessons and activities by subject, grade level, and skill. Plus, teachers can even save their best lesson plans to share with others. And, now with Schoology, they can even upload assignments directly from Classroom or LMS systems like BlackboardTM or MoodleTM. Many districts also use Schoology to collaborate online and share ideas across schools. Teachers can post updates about professional development opportunities, share best practices for dealing with discipline issues, or simply organize an upcoming field trip. The possibilities are endless!
