You need a roofing company, you look online, and there are dozens of services all fighting for your attention…which do you choose? Are you licensed and insured?

First and foremost, you want to know that a roofing company has the right license to help. If you ask to see a license and they’re reluctant to show you, move on (there are plenty of services with the right license who are ready and willing to help!). These days, every state seems to have its own requirements, so look into the laws in your state and know the license that contractors need before working with clients.

 

After a license, we also think insurance is important (the last thing you want is a catastrophe and then to find out the company you trusted doesn’t have insurance!). Do you do the work yourself?

In this case, check that your chosen company does the work and not somebody else.

Does the service come with a warranty?
