It’s 2021! At last, 2020 is over. And you know what that means? Well, quite a few things. But one of those things is that the event is the festival. More specifically, the rave.

Raves are near and dear to many of our hearts. And we didn’t get to enjoy the last year, which honestly really sucked.

Since we’ve been locked up for the past year, we haven’t had the opportunity to entertain anyone. And for those of us who have a performative streak, that’s just kind of the worst.

Here’s what you’re going to need to gear up with if you want to add something special to your rave experience that your friends can also enjoy.

Light Whip

Over the past year, let’s be honest, you probably had a lot of free time. In that free time, many of us have picked up a few new hobbies or skills. For some of us, this meant the incredible light whip.

A light whip, also known as a fairy whip, is made of multiple fiber optic strings attached to a handle. It works like a literal whip and the individual light strands move around separately but together, creating a beautiful spectacle of light.

The coolest thing about a light whip is that anyone can use one. All you have to do is feel the music and flow with it. Think of a light whip as an extension of your body. It moves in entrancing, fluid motions that sync up perfectly, no matter what song is playing.

Some light whips have different settings that you can play around with. These include different colors or even color sequences and strobing effects so that you can enhance the specific moments of the song.

Light Gloves

If you’ve been to a rave, or even if you sat next to that one kid in high school, you know about light gloves.

Light gloves, also known as LED gloves, are usually white. They are worn like regular gloves, but they come with tiny LED lights attached at each of the fingertips.

These lights can be clicked to change to different colors or color-changing effects. Glovers use them paired with specific hand and finger choreography to created a lightshow just with their fingertips.
