Effective December 9, 2020, SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has grown from eight to ten Members. The two newly elected Members of the Board of Directors are Timothy Harnett and Kimberly Schaefer.
Scott Ross, Founder and Managing Partner at Hill Path Capital and SeaWorld’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, announced the two new additions by stating, “We are pleased to welcome Tim and Kim to the company’s Board. Tim brings significant experience working with companies across industry sectors and brings unique skills, particularly in finance and accounting. Kim has significant experience in the leisure, hospitality, and entertainment sectors and brings unique skills, particularly in operations and marketing. We are very fortunate to have Tim and Kim on our Board and look forward to their contributions.”
With this statement, Scott Ross neatly showcases how Timothy Harnett will be assisting in the internal aspects of the group via his finance and accounting experience. Similarly, Kimberly Schaefer will be assisting in various external aspects via her vast experience in marketing and operations.
Timothy Harnett currently serves as CEO of New Roc Management, a firm that specializes in asset management and operational advice, servicing high-net-worth families. Previously, Mr. Hartnett was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, a multinational leader that ranks as the second-largest professional services network globally, and is widely regarded as one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. Growing his leadership capacity at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Harnett served as a Partner.
Meanwhile, Kimberly Schafer has served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Brand Officer, and CEO and Director of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., the largest family of indoor water park resorts in all of North America, with a total of 19 locations. Currently, Mrs. Schaefer serves as President of Two Bit Circus, Inc., an experiential entertainment company that is the first of its kind. Two Bit Circus boasts a network of micro-amusement parks and immersive public installations, located at various premier venues and popular events.
