Many people are unfamiliar with technical matters, which is why I’d like to focus on their many components, which may be divided into four categories as far as AV Integration Company is involved:
- Design (Pre-Sale)
- Programming (Post-Sale)
- Project Managers (Post-Sales)
- Installations (Post-Sale)
-
Design (pre-sale)
Because audio visual systems integrator must be able to arrange and produce the solutions that the Commercial Area demands, according to the needs of each customer and each individual project, this is a full-time work.
-
Programming (Post-Sale)
Today in any audiovisual integration project, two basic types of programmers are required; the control system programmer, and the audio system programmer.
The control system programmer is usually an Electronic Engineer or, in many cases, a Systems Engineer. Preferably I suggest that he be an engineer, or at least an advanced Technician with training in a Technical institute.
Its main functions focus on programming the control processor, as well as the user interfaces, which in most cases is on configuring processes and logical functions of the system and routing of the video source switching system.
The audio system programmer must be a Sound Engineer, with extensive knowledge in acoustics and electro-acoustic, but mainly with an ear and taste developed over the years; since this will be responsible for the resulting sound quality, and the acoustic performance of the audio system.
It is important to note that rarely does a control system programmer have the knowledge to tune an audio system; common mistake in many of the audiovisual integration companies in America.
-
Project Managers
Many times known as Project Managers, or Project Managers; These generally develop functions more related to typical processes of a work, such as on-site coordination with other specialties present in a work: Electrical, Mechanical, Architecture, Air Conditioning and even aesthetic factors.
The supervision and internal coordination, as well as the delivery of the As-Built plans in a project, are its main functions; as well as internal coordination with the various areas of the audiovisual integration company for the effective implementation of a project: Design, Programming, Installations, Logistics, and very importantly with the Administrative area of the company.
-
Installations
The installation technicians are responsible for the quality of the final work of each installed project; they are generally the least valued within the company; many times considered as simple workers; serious mistake made by many audiovisual integration companies in the USA.
Installation technicians are the greatest value that any audiovisual company can have, its greatest asset, its best business partner; these are the soul of every project, they are the ones that make the difference between a good project, executed with order and discipline, and they make the difference with the client; since they are the ones that will remain in contact with the client the longest during the implementation process; one way or another they must become the darlings of the company.
These must have all kinds of knowledge, basic audio fundamentals, video knowledge, control and networks; they must memorize the routes of all the cables, and they must be able to understand the basic operation of the complete system. In general, when testing the complete system, the main problems are due to wiring errors or wrong connections.
The installation technicians must receive from the designers the one-line connection diagrams, the wiring plans and the construction diagram of the equipment racks; and they must have the necessary training to follow the instructions to the letter; in order to guarantee a perfect implementation of the complete audiovisual system.
Without a correct installation of the system, the programmers will not be able to make the system work according to their control program and their audio program.
They are undoubtedly the greatest value of the company.

Administrative Area:
The staff of the Administrative Area is not very different from the staff of any company, including a Logistics Area, an Accounting Area and an area in charge of credit, collection and billing of projects.
Among the most important aspects is remembering that the Administrative Area is a support area for the Commercial Area and the Technical Area; and not the other way around, as is generally the case in audiovisual integration companies in the US, where administrators generally forget that their work can be done by any other administrator, accountant or logistics manager.
They are still a vital and important part in the implementation process of any project, but their functions are merely operational support for the project, which in the end all together make up a synergistic symbiosis of the project.
Let’s remember that if the administrative area does not place the orders to the suppliers on time, the AV integrator installers will not have what to install, and the programmers will not have what to program.
What is the integration of audio and video for companies and corporations?
Currently the creation, production, distribution and storage of digital audiovisual content is not restricted only to the entertainment industry and content creators. Today companies, corporations and businesses require multi-technological systems for professional audiovisual production and distribution to meet the communication and connectivity needs of today’s world.
It is the planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive audio and video technology solution to create, distribute and store audiovisual content for different functions such as: entertainment, monitoring, training, information distribution, history and record keeping, among many others – more usage scenarios.
In AV Integration service, we offer a wide list of services, audiovisual solutions, products and professional equipment for banks, offices, corporations, architectural firms, law firms, casinos, hotels, restaurants, bars and various companies that require an integration of audiovisual technologies.
