The Growth of Adobe Creative Cloud in Education

The Adobe Creative Cloud might just be one of the best software packages to exist on the market. It allows all sorts of people to try their hand at 2D and 3D art, illustration, video editing and UI/UX design. However, there is a secondary benefit. The Creative Cloud has spread into the classroom, allowing students to try their hand at the creative powers offered by Adobe.

Adobe has offered schools and tertiary education the opportunity to gain the benefits of Adobe Creative Cloud through their Education program. Depending on the size of the campus or school, the pricing changes. However, these prices are still lower than ordering the Creative Cloud individually per student. This program began in 2018 allowing for students to access apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, XD, and more. Each of these programs can really enhance the learning experiences of the kids on whatever project they happen to be working on.

This partnership allows for students to unleash their inner creativity on whatever projects they happen to be assigned. Contrary to popular belief, creativity is not a gift or inherited. Creativity is just a way of thinking about solutions to challenges in new and inventive ways. The more tools that one has available to solve these challenges, the more creative they can get. Schools shouldn’t just be a zone where kids learn math, language and history (though those are all important subjects). The ability to think outside the box is just as important so that future generations can solve new problems that pop up in the world.

This pairing with Adobe also allows for students to work on their projects at home. The problem with integrating technology into the school system is that computers and technology usage has traditionally been confined to a computer lab. When all the students are at their individual stations, it can be harder for the teachers to actually teach. Distracted students are the hardest students to teach. Thus, this program allows for students to access their projects at home and allows for the teacher to better use the time spent in the classroom.

Not only does this partnership increase the creativity level for students, but it allows for more teaching methods. After all, with programs that students can use at home, the teacher can think up a project that students would enjoy. Then they can go over what the project will entail in class, perhaps with an example on their own device. Again, it is the increase of creativity and options that the teachers and students have that makes this partnership so beneficial.

As technology continues to make its way into almost every aspect of our lives, using it to advance education is a necessity. The partnership between Adobe and education programs can only serve to benefit the overall creativity of people everywhere. All sorts of businesses crave for creative people. These programs set the groundwork for those creative people to get into the world and satiate that crave.
