The reality of courses that teach you to make money online

The Internet has created so many opportunities for people to make money online. And still, so many people fail to earn anything substantial. Earning online income is not different from earning offline income. There’s no rocket science or magic formula that will make you a millionaire overnight. You have to spend time on learning and executing different strategies before you can build a reliable source of income.

Thanks to the immense demand of ways to earn money online, so many people have started to offer premium courses that will teach you how to earn passive income. Almost all of them sound too good to be true (and most of them are) but that doesn’t mean they’re all just scam.

Here’s the reality you need to know before signing up for any of them:

No pain, no gain:

If there’s a course that promises you profits without doing any work, stay away from it. Any real course will make it absolutely clear that you need to invest some time and money, at least in the beginning. There’s no other way. I have discussed this in detail in my review of Modern Millionaires training program that gives you a fairly simple way to earn passive income by lead flipping. But you NEED to generate leads before you can start to flip and that is the same with all other courses.

The earnings might be small than what they promise:

You will find that most of these courses are promising six or seven figure incomes. This is actually a weird tactic because it will be great if it can turn into a five or four figure business. This is why so many people who sign up for it feel disappointed. Because they don’t see the kind of riches that the coach has promised. When you are going for one of these programs, always aim to get it profitable first. Once a business is profitable (i.e. it is earning more than what it is costing) you are in a safe zone. You can always scale a profitable business and double or triple your profits.

It might not be as easy as they make it out to be:

There is of course some “sales tactics” involved. Most of these courses make it sound too easy. But they never are. It used to be easy some years ago but the competition is increasing with each passing day, which means it will take you longer to reach where the founder reached a couple of years ago. Similarly, the ads will cost more, the marketing costs will be higher, and so on. So, it is important to take everything with a pinch of salt. But at the same time, remember that these tactics are real. People are making a lot of money online and you can do it as well.

The trick is to be patient, learn from your mistakes, and be persistent. You might fail at one thing but you will still learn invaluable lessons. It’s only a matter of time. Success is different for everyone. It might take you a little longer to reach there but you will reach there eventually.
