A media room or a multi-purpose room with a large TV can be hidden when not in use. Hiding a TV is an option that can be be done to conserve space or create a unique style. A high-tech option is to cover your TV with a piece of art that is attached to a sliding motor. This is the same concept that is often used for hiding a safe in a wall. Controlling the motor can be done from a remote or by an app on a smartphone or other mobile device. If you want a crazy way to hide a TV, then use a two-way mirror with a custom frame. The Man Cave

This is typically a dedicated media room that can have all sorts of customizations to create any type of theme. You can have a sports theme or a theme based off of a movie. The key to creating a man cave is the technology that is used. Technology that is installed can automate many aspects of the room from a hidden TV to changing the color of the lights to create a specific effect. One crazy way to automate the man cave of a homeowner is to activate a hidden door using a smartphone app or a remote. You have a variety of options to automate various aspects of a media room.

Window Blinds

One interesting option for home automation is to have window blinds in a bedroom open up when your alarm clock goes off. You can also set up the lights in the room to turn on at this time.
