This egg curry recipe is a great option when you don’t want to cook elaborately. Dhaba style egg curry recipe goes well with paratha, naan, rice, Pulao, and biryani. You must be wondering, how to make egg curry that has a restaurant like flavor at home. By following a few simple steps, you can make restaurant-style egg curry at home. You can find the egg curry recipe from the internet very easily. Punjabi dishes are famous for their rich taste and unique flavor. This egg curry is no exception. The process of making restaurant-style egg curry is given below:

  • Ingredients

To make the best restaurant-style egg curry, you need the following ingredients:

  • 5 boiled eggs
  • 2 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 onions (pureed)
  • 3 tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 green chilli (slit)
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/4th teaspoon of Kasuri methi
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 4 tablespoon of cream
  • 10 cashew nuts (blended)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 2 green Elaichi
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1/8th teaspoon of turmeric powder

  • Steps to prepare restaurant style egg curry:
  • To make the onion puree, cut the onions in cubes and boil them in water for 3 minutes. Then blend them well.
  • Now, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Sauté the boiled eggs until they turn golden-brown.
  • Keep the eggs in a separate plate and sprinkle a bit chilli powder on them.
  • In a separate pan, add one tablespoon of oil. Fry bay leaf, cumin, cloves, and cardamoms for a minute.
  • Now, add the onions and fry them till they turn golden.
  • Next, add the ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Now, add the tomato puree and cook until the mixture becomes thick.
  • Then, add garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and sugar.
  • Fry all and keep stirring the mixture.
  • Now, add water to it, to make the gravy. Cook it for 5 minutes.
  • As the curry gets thicker, add salt according to taste.
  • Now, add the fried eggs and Kasuri methi.
  • Add the cream and the cashew nuts mixture to it. Mix everything well.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle some coriander leaves before serving.
