Turkish123 is a website for anyone interested in learning Turkish. Our goal is to teach you the language through TV shows and movies, instead of classroom methods. For that reason, we’ve created a website and app that are based around watching TV shows dubbed in Turkish with English subtitles. We can’t promise you’ll be fluent by the end of the year, but we do promise that you’ll be speaking Turkish much more fluently after one year of learning with Turkish123.
We want to provide our users with as many different types of content as possible. Here are the three main types of content you’ll find:
TV Shows: Watch TV series and learn Turkish. This is all in one place on the website and app. We’ll have tons of beginner shows for you to start watching once you sign up for your free trial.
In the past, we’ve gotten into trouble with some sites claiming to offer free language learning. They’re scammers that just want to steal your identity and money. We don’t do this for a living and we’d never ask you for your credit card or bank account number. But if you are a business or you’re trying to start a new language learning business, then please see our other sites that we recommend and learn from them.
For everyone else, including students, parents, teachers, and professionals: If you want to learn Turkish for free, I recommend this website and the tutorials here. You can also use our free Turkish123 app for Android tablets in Turkey.
We believe that learning a foreign language from TV and movies is much safer than using books and audio tapes. All our materials are provided in original form, with videos, subtitles, and text. They’re not commonly found online, so we feel very confident in our materials.
For many people, learning Turkish is either hard or unnecessary. Turkish is an important language that everyone should have a basic understanding of, regardless of their career. Even if you won’t be spending much time in Turkey, you’ll benefit from knowing Turkish.
If you’re an English speaker traveling through Turkey, you’ll find it much easier to communicate with the locals if you know Turkish. If you’re working in a Turkish speaking country and want to speak to the locals more easily, then knowing basic Turkish will help tremendously.
If you’re a student at a Turkish university, then knowing Turkish will make your life much easier. Not only will you be able to communicate with more locals, but you’ll also have an advantage over your other classmates and friends. The first thing you’ll need to do is to sign up for an account. You can do this on the website, or on the Turkish123 app. If you sign up on the website, you’ll be able to use our website and mobile apps (the app is available for Android tablets in Turkish).
Once you have an account, there are various ways in which to watch TV shows with Turkish subtitles:
Website: You can use both the PC and smartphone versions of our website. You’ll be able to access our videos and download the Turkish subtitles for them.
App: You can use our Android tablet app, which makes learning even easier. You’ll be able to watch shows wherever you are, as long as you have your tablet with you.
Once you have a show, there are a variety of ways in which to watch them:
Playlist: You can watch a playlist of videos in any order that you like. This is the best way in which to use the website or app. You can create playlists that have different themes. For example, you can create a playlist of Turkish TV shows that are set in Turkey and another playlist of Turkish TV shows set abroad.
Live: This is available on both the website and the app. You’ll be able to watch a live version of any show, even if it’s not on your list of favourite videos yet.
