But the organization needs to ensure that they select a third-party service that has the capacity to produce an approved session border controller that connects directly to Microsoft. Generally, sessions border controllers are stationed as an expansion of an on-premises voice call system, which makes compatibility with hosted voice providers difficult. Many voice call providers are working to develop VoIP services that can provide this connectivity, hence making calling more efficient.

Update To Microsoft Teams Functionality: –

Unified Presence

Identical to the Microsoft Commercial Bundle, Microsoft GCC High users will now be able to own the presence of work across all the applications and devices. To avail this functionality the user needs to get their Skype For Business account hosted Online, as it will not be compatible with on-premises infrastructure. Organizations can also have a look at the latest Windows 365 Cloud PC offered by Microsoft with the latest security measures and the power of the cloud.

External Access

With the latest update rolling out, GCC High users can now easily communicate with users outside their organizations. With this functionality users from other external domains can connect to the GCC High through Microsoft Teams calls and chat. Admins now have the power and authority to set up distinct policies to determine how the users can communicate externally.

Advanced Security Features: –

E5 Security Updates

Microsoft Cloud App Security and Azure Advanced Threat Protection still target General Availability for U.S. GCC High users. They are currently in private preview serving the subset of GCC High users and are still pending FedRAMP authorization.

Microsoft Defender ATP

Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection is now made available for the US GCC High users using the Windows 10 E5 OS. This feature still resides in the Azure Government environment and does not have full correspondence with the commercial bundle at the moment. Nevertheless, this is still a very robust tool that enables many users and organizations to become more compliant, and more importantly, secure their desktops even more.
