Fee structure
The university offers various courses and therefore the fee is also different for each course. For general MBA students have to pay Rs 17,000, for executive MBA students have to pay Rs 30,000 and for integrated MBA students have to pay Rs 27,000.
Accreditation of the university
Madras university is accredited under UGC which is the apex institution in the country for recognising universities situated in the country.
How to take admission?
Admission to The University of Madras can be taken in two different ways. The ways are listed below:
On the spot admission: Students willing to take admission following this procedure must be present with all required documents on the day of admission. It is necessary to carry the original copies of all documents as well.
Single window admission: Students who are willing to take admission directly can follow this method. Students taking admission following this method will have to visit the admission centre located at the Chepauk Campus of Symbiosis.
The centre remains open for seven days of the week from 10 o’clock in the morning to 5 o’clock in the evening. Students have to collect the prospectus along with the application form. For the prospectus and application form, students need to pay Rs 100 at the sales counter. Students will also have to pay their registration fee.
Eligibility for the course
General MBA:
- Qualified under 10 + 2 + 3 pattern of education
- A Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law
- Professional qualification in Accountancy / Cost & Works Accountancy / Company Secretaryship
Executive MBA
- Candidate must be a graduate from any recognised University located in India or can also be a person who has completed studying under 10+2+3 pattern.
- At least 3 years of experience in industries run under the public sector or semi or quasi-Government organizations or in an executive, managerial or supervisory rank in a business enterprise
Integrated MBA:
Must be qualified under 10 + 2 pattern of education.
