What Are The Different Family Immigration Visas Options?

There are many different kinds of family immigration visas available to individuals who wish to bring their family members to the United States. These visas are designed to reunite families and allow individuals to live and work in the United States with their loved ones.

If you need legal and professional assistance obtaining a family immigration visa, you should consider contacting a green card attorney. It will also help if you know the common family immigration visas, as it can help you obtain one accordingly.

Below are the different family immigration visas you must know:

  • Immediate Relative Visas

These visas are available to spouses, unmarried children under 21, and parents of United States citizens. There is no annual limit on the amount of these visas that can be allocated.

  • Family Preference Visas

The individual must have a valid passport and prove that they have met their fiancé(e) in person within the past two years unless they can demonstrate that such a meeting would violate long-established customs or result in extreme hardship.

  • Adoption Visas

These visas are available to individuals who are adopting a child from another country and wish to bring the child to the United States. Several different adoption visa types are available, including the Orphan Visa, the Hague Convention Visa, and the Orphan Adoption Visa.

  • V Visas

These visas are available to the spouses and minor children of permanent residents who have been waiting for more than three years to become permanent residents.
