What is mead wine?

Ever heard something about the term honey wine? No, right? It is an alcoholic beverage that, interesting enough, has honey, water, and yeast as its primary ingredients. The flavor of mead can be easily manipulated by the optional addition of fruits, hops and a lot of other spices. It is known to be an artisanal craft. How to store Mead at home?

When you want to store mead in your house or workspace, you need to store it in a cold, dry place just the way you would store your wine away from the sunlight. This is done to protect the flavours in the mead. You could store it in your wine cellar if you don’t have a proper place for mead. When you put it in a wine cellar, the temperature is controlled along with its humidity, and the UV filtered glass door works perfectly to preserve its quality and taste. Older wine is much more sensitive as compared to young wines, which is why they cost like a fortune. 

Mead is quite diverse. As already stated above, honey is the main ingredient used in mead. Every year a different kind of honey is being harvested, and the yeast used is also different. The optional addition of the fruit or the spice impacts the taste and feel of the product. With so many varieties present, it is a huge and amazing thing to taste.
