How Many Attempts Are Allowed to Give the UPSC Exam?

There is no age restriction for the entrance exam for Indian Administrative Service. However, the service rules do have some restrictions regarding attempts to appear for the exam. 

It is not allowed to give the exam more than three times, and the candidates are expected to surrender their degrees after the third attempt. The best subject for the Indian Administrative Service exam is economics. It is a compulsory subject and carries a maximum score of 80 out of 100.
