Brianna Keilar

Brianna Keilar is CNN’s senior political correspondent and congressional correspondent based in their Washington, D.C. bureau. Her reporting on both House and Senate activities earned her the esteemed National Press Foundation Everett McKinley Dirksen Award.

She began her career on CNN Newsource in 2006 as a correspondent, providing breaking news coverage and reports from Washington D.C. to over 800 partner stations around the country. Prior to that she had served as general assignment reporter at KIMA-TV in Yakima, Wash. – both CBS affiliates of CNN.

Before joining CNN, she worked in radio as a morning show personality and weekend news reader. With a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of California, Berkeley, Phi Beta Kappa graduate, and member of Society of Professional Journalists organization, her articles have been featured by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Politico.

Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a CNN anchor, journalist and author who has reported on all the major news stories of recent years. She has reported from Paris and Brussels during terrorist attacks, Houston after Hurricane Harvey, as well as Parkland school shootings.

Her tenure on CNN included co-anchoring New Day and being at the forefront of all major news stories. Her interviews with Parkland student survivors in the hours following the shooting and appearances with leaders from the National Rifle Association helped shape national conversations regarding gun safety.

She hosted several primetime specials, such as “Tipping Point: Sexual Harassment in America” and “The Hunting Ground: Sexual Assault on Campus”. Additionally, Amanda Wakes Up – her book that was selected by National Public Radio as one of the best books of 2017, published by Viking – received widespread acclaim.

Laura Coates

Laura Coates, a native of Saint Paul, Minnesota and legal analyst for CNN since 2016, also hosts her own daily show on SiriusXM since 2017.

She was a former federal prosecutor who served in the civil rights division of the Department of Justice during both Bush and Obama administrations. Additionally, she served as assistant United States attorney in Washington D.C., prosecuting violent felonies such as narcotics trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse cases.

She specializes in criminal prosecution and civil rights law, with an emphasis on racial and ethnic matters. A graduate of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs as well as the University of Minnesota Law School, her expertise spans across both fields.

Coates is a permanent host on CNN Tonight and co-anchors with Alisyn Camerota in primetime at 9 p.m. Coates’ experience will complement Tapper’s political commentary and sharp reporting style, offering viewers an unmatched combination of breaking news coverage, interviews and analysis.
