Wizard101 introduced a new update a long time ago that contains a new way to upgrade your spells thought spellements, this way is called spellwrighting, spellwrighting allows wizards to upgrade their spells to a new tier with more powerful damage and extra effects like absorbs, heals, weaknesses and minions.
Currently, there are 21 spellements in-game, all of them are obtainable from the crowns shop packs, and most of them are dropped from the secret key bosses, golden, stone, and wooden keys bosses, also some spellements can be found in Scroll of Fortune drop list with a good number of spellements ( 30 spellements) or dropped by loremaster in dragonspyre ( he is a secret boss free to fight without keys).
also, Deckalathon events like storm, life, fire, ice, death, balance, and myth Deckalathon towers do drop the spellements at higher tiers or stages in the tower.
Spellements can be dropped by Bosses such as The Devourer and elite enemies regarded as bosses such as General Greyflame. As there are quite a few bugs that Kingsisle is trying to patch.
we were really excited to see the Spellwriting system come to the game, there are endless possibilities and potential for this system to revitalize combat
Spellements allows you to upgrade your spells into 2 or 3 tiers of upgrading, and through 2 or 3 passes, these spellements are dropped as reagents that can be traded in the bank with your other chars and used to upgrade spells on other chars.
The new Daybringer and Nightbringer spells that are obtainable from spellements are great additions to the game and make way for a lot of fun new PVP strategies or to combat PvE bosses (especially the cheating ones).
the best place to farm for Daybringer and Nightbringer spellements is wizardcity undergrounds, bosses there drops them very often.
If you want to know about all wizard101 Spellements then you should visit wizard101folio as they have a great spellements guide about all the spellements information like drops locations, tiers, and how spellements work.
On a predetermined update tree, one can completely learn a new spell or update already learned spells. As one continues, each upgrade tier cost more and more spellement. Some levels of Spellwrighting give players separate, independent divisions to choose from. It therefore gives wizards an option as to which way their spells would like to be updated. Players can, for example, have to decide between a path that upgrades raw damage performance or a path that changes or improves the usefulness of a spell.
Of any upgrade added this fall, this latest system has the largest potential. It is much easier for Wizards to obtain spells on the right wizard by using this update.
