Women And Weed – All You Need To Know

In the past decade, the rise of the wonderful world of weed has taken modern-day society to new levels. With medical marijuana legalization in California in 1996, the federal legalization of cannabidiol (CBD) in 2018 with the Farm Act, and the subsequent legalization of recreational marijuana in California on January 1, 2018, weed, it seems, is here to stay. You can even grow your own plants to save money and assure you know what’s being done. You’ll need some marijuana seeds to plant and growing cannabis is taught all over YouTube!

And, with all of its health benefits, why shouldn’t it? From pain-relieving to anti-seizure to anti-anxiety benefits, weed is the prescription for life. But, that’s not all the benefits of smoking or consuming weed. Here’s a list of health benefits that weed is known to have:

  • Alleviate anxiety
  • Decrease inflammation
  • Alleviates Pain
  • Manage side effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients
  • Cell Apoptosis and slow down tumor growth
  • Relax muscles in Multiple Sclerosis’s patients
  • Stimulate weight gain and appetite in cancer and AIDS patients

But did you know that it also helps with women’s sexual health? Yes, weed can make your sex life better by giving you more pleasure. It increases libido, decreases pain, and improves orgasms for women who have these sexual dysfunctions. For women who don’t have sexual problems, weed just makes sex better.

In July 2020, an online survey was published on the effects of weed on women’s sexual function. The survey suggests that increased use of marijuana is related to improved sexual function among women. However, the chemovar type, the method of consumption, and reason for use don’t affect results. Meaning, it doesn’t matter if you smoke bud or flower directly from cannabis seeds or ingest some edibles. Any form, anyway, and any weed will work.

3 Ways Weed Helps Women Have Better Sex

Researchers found three ways weed helps women have better sex. First, due to its natural healing properties, especially its anti-anxiety properties, weed helps women relax enough to enjoy sex. Second, the delta 8 THC  in cannabis slows down the perception of time. And lastly, weed naturally increases serotonin, which helps women’s sexual function. Here are the three ways in more depth:

Reduces Anxiety

The estimated number of people affected by anxiety in the United States is 40 million adults aged 18 and older, or 18.1 percent of the population each year. Women are twice as likely as men to get an anxiety disorder. With these numbers, it’s no wonder an alternative route of relief is necessary.

That’s where weed comes in. Many people who use marijuana use it for its anti-anxiety properties. If it can help treat anxiety disorders like Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder, it can help with sexual anxiety.

The idea is that the decrease in anxiety associated with a sexual encounter could improve sexual encounters, leading to enhanced satisfaction, orgasm, and desire.

Slows the Perception of Time

If you’ve ever toked on a joint or smoked a bowl, you may know that weed slows downtime. It’s calming and sedative effect keeps your mind relaxed, giving you the perception that time is slow. This perception helps prolong your sexual feeling, thus prolonging your sexual pleasure.

Increases Serotonin

Ever heard of the endocannabinoid system? You may have if you are a weed connoisseur, but if you’re not, here’s a little briefer before getting into how it helps women have better sex.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system was discovered in 1992, giving way to a slew of research and investigations of how it and cannabis are related.

What the research found was astonishing. The endocannabinoid system is found in the bodies of all vertebrae animals, which includes humans. It is a complex system where cannabinoid receptors bind to neurotransmitters to create homeostasis within the body. Cannabis is a cannabinoid. Being such, it binds to the cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system.

What Does Seratonin Have to Do with Women, Weed, and Sex?

In relation to women and sex, CB1, a cannabinoid receptor, was found in serotonergic (activated by serotonin) neurons that secrete the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin helps women with sexual function. Therefore, the activation of CB1 could cause increased sexual function.

Seratonin not only improves sexual function in women, but it also helps with mood. It boosts mood and makes you feel happy. And, if you’re happy, you’re more likely to have better sex. After all, if you’re in a bad mood the last thing you want to do is have sex. Good sex requires a good mood. Serotonin provides a good mood and good sex.

What Does Weed Mean for Women?

Women who smoke or consume weed can have exceptionally great sex lives. Weed helps women relax and feel more pleasure. They’re more satisfied with their sex lives, making them satisfied with their everyday lives.

Improving sexual function, so you have increased desire, increased libido, less anxiety, and better orgasms is a sure-fire way to improve your health. You’ll feel better physically and mentally, and your body will perform better, not only because of the health benefits of weed, but the benefits of having regular and fantastic sex.

It seems as if what you’re doing out of the bedroom affects what you do in the bedroom. If smoking weed is part of your everyday regime, you’re likely to be having a great time with your partner. If you’re not consuming weed, perhaps you should consider some weed-smoking before your next romp around in between the sheets.
