Botox Near Me, My Experience

When it comes to botox near me I have so many places which offer the treatment and there is a bit of competition between the clinics. Because of this competition there is sometimes these offers which they have on and when I saw that one was offering half price I thought I would go in and check it out. I haven’t a great need for botox but I do have some crow’s feet developing around the eyes and a very feint wrinkle on the forehead, so I thought perhaps I could get it fixed.

Initial

I made and appointment with the clinic and went in 2 days later to have a chat about what it was exactly that I was looking to do. I told the doc that I just wanted these small areas looked at and that I was a little worried that I would end up looking like one of those wild celebs who have gone too far with the cosmetic surgery. The doc laughed this off and told me not to worry, and that he would only be using a minimal couple of units in my face and forehead, which would help to fix those little wrinkles which had started to appear.

Pricks

There wasn’t very much pain when the injections went in but I wouldn’t say that it was very comfortable. The best way that I can describe it is that it was like a deep scratch, similar to what you feel when you get an injection into your gums. The doc put 9 injections in total, 3 either side of the face and another 3 on various parts of the forehead, he then told me to move my face around with expressions so that the botox could spread out and wouldn’t look lumpy. I had to do a surprised face, and angry face and a big smiley face for the next 10-15 minutes.

Results

The results don’t show until around 2 weeks later and I have to say that I was totally blown away with mine. I cold no longer see the crow’s feet and the wrinkle on my forehead was completely gone, I was so happy at how things looked. The results last for between 3 and 6 months and mine began to slowly wear off at around the 5 month mark.

Tips

In terms of safety this is a treatment which is very safe and you have little risk of anything going wrong. The only thing that you must ensure is that the botox is in date, ask to see the bottle before they administer it, and also that you look after your skin after the treatment. The better that you are able to look after your skin the longer the effects of the treatment will last.

All told this was a great experience and it is definitely something which I will be looking to do again.
