CMAT 2022: Application Date
The National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the CMAT exam sometime in January 2022. It will be an online, computer-based exam lasting for three hours. You will need to answer 100 questions distributed across four sections, including general awareness, logical reasoning, data interpretation, quantitative techniques, and language comprehension.
Each section has 25 questions, where each question carries four marks. So, all the units have 100 marks, and the entire exam is for 400 marks.

Registration for CMAT 2022 begins from the first week of November 2021 and lasts through the last week of December 2021.
CMAT Registration and Application
You can register to write a CMAT by visiting the official website. However, before you do this, you must ensure that you have the following set of documents: Your educational qualifications, a working computer with an Internet connection, recent scanned passport-sized photographs, and signature, phone number, and email address, and credit or debit card or Internet banking details.
Note that the scanned passport-sized photographs and signature must be in JPG or JPEG format. Also, while the photographs must be between 10 KB and 200 KB, the signature must be between 4 KB and 30 KB.
You can follow these steps to register for CMAT 2022.
- Log in to the official website.
- Find and click on ‘Apply for CMAT 2022’.
- When you click on ‘Apply for CMAT 2022’, you will be redirected to the new candidate registration page, where you will need to enter all the required details to get your login credentials.
To fill the application form, you can follow the steps given below.
- Log in to the official CMAT website using the unique registration number and password that you get on your email.
- Upon login, immediately reset the password. Be sure to choose a strong password.
- To fill the application form, enter details such as your name, mother’s and father’s names, date of birth, gender, state of residence, category, and nationality.
- After that, enter the city where you would like to write the exam. You can enter up to four cities.
- Once you have entered the city of your choice, you must enter your education details such as the course you have pursued, the university you studied in, the qualifying exam you wrote, and the result, in terms of the marks you have secured.
- After entering these details, you must enter the captcha or verification code and press ‘Submit.’
- You can then preview the application form before finally submitting it.
- After submitting the application form, you must upload a set of documents, including your signature and a recent passport-size photograph, in the required format.
- Once you do this, you can proceed to pay the fee for processing the application. You can pay the fee through net banking, credit or debit cards, or even by submitting an e-challan.
- After paying the required fee, make sure that you download and take a printout of the application form and the receipt and preserve it for the future.
Final Thoughts
CMAT is an online exam held once a year, and only Indian nationals who have completed their bachelor’s degree by securing at least 50% marks qualify to write this exam. Also, there is no age limit for writing CMAT, and that all AICTE-approved colleges and institutions will accept CMAT scores.
