Harley Medic International, one of the UK’s largest COVID-19 testing networks has expanded, adding another 20 clinics to its already large COVID-19 testing network.
The multi-million-pound industry has seen huge advancements in the past few months as testing methods become both cheaper, faster and more accessible.
Harley Medic International has been at the forefront of the changes by adapting and rapidly growing, offering some of the fastest RT-PCR testing in the UK. The expansion has been spearheaded by Adonis Hakkim, the company’s national operations managers. Adonis organises the operations behind the thousands of tests carried out, a challenging task that has seen huge companies fail to deliver due to the unprecedented demand.
Covid-19 testing is going to see a huge surge in demand if the governments plan to open the COVID-19 restrictions across the UK. The UK government has outlined that it may potentially open up national and international travel to and from the UK after the 17th of May. Although we are still waiting for confirmation of the UK governments plans to open travel on the 17th of May, it has been widely alluded to and excepted that travel will resume from the 17th of May onwards.
The UK government will set out a new traffic light system to regulate travel, this will include placing countries on green, amber and red tier systems to regulate travel from the UK and into the UK.
Once travel opens again countries on the green list, which have yet to be announced, will face the least restrictions. This means that countries on the green list will be the easiest for travellers to enter and return to the UK from. It is speculated that countries on the green list will not require PCR testing or quarantine upon arrival back to the UK.
Currently, PCR testing is required for all travel across the world, this includes taking a PCR test and receiving a fit to fly Covid test from a reputable testing provider. In the UK Harley Medic International is considered one of the most reliable and fastest testing providers for travellers. It is crucial for travellers to receive a PCR test on time, this is because most countries require a PCR test 72 to 48 hours before entering and boarding a plane to travel abroad.
The most common form of fit to fly COVID test is a PCR test for travel.
