How to Push your Instagram Post to the Top of the Feed

Imagine the situation: you are trying to increase visibility on your Instagram account. Every day you write posts, come up with topics and categories for the feed. Anyway, the situation remains the same. So, you are missing the point.

The social network decided to change the algorithm. Until 2016, users saw posts in chronological order. It did not matter how many likes you had or how popular you were. Now the creators of the social network are focused on the followers and their patterns of behavior.

The basic rules that now apply on Instagram:

  1. Photo and video content are equivalent.
  2. The account type does not matter.
  3. The 30-min-rule does not work.
  4. The amount of content shown by Instagram for a user who sits online for 30 minutes or 7 hours now varies.
  5. Comments, likes, shares, and views affect the position in the feed.

By the way, the algorithm is constantly changing and reacts to the user’s behavior.

Let’s turn our attention to the last point about likes. Now it has become unimportant how often you publish content. Now it is important what quality it is. Therefore, Instagram algorithms pay attention to likes on photos and videos.

It turns out that the blogger falls into a vicious circle. If your content is not up-to-date or got into a shadow banning because of the algorithm, then there will be no likes. If there are no likes, then the posts are not shown to subscribers. You are under the cloud. It pulls the rug out from under feet.

How to get a lot of Instagram likes?

1. Create engaging content.

Right, it sounds a bit weird. Everyone tries to create something unique. Put yourself in the follower’s shoes. What would you like or save? Gorgeous photo or list of useful books?

2. Giveaways.

People love gifts. Your followers, too. Indulge your followers with giveaways and do not forget to ask them to like your post.

3. Hashtags.

We underestimate hashtags. They help the post to be on the right topic. This is how new people find you. More followers mean more Instagram likes.

4. Stories.

The practice has shown that users are more likely to watch stories than to scroll through the feed. Repost your posts in stories, so that followers can immediately go to your page.

5. Mutual Instagram likes.

You can go to the profiles of your followers and like their photos. There is a high probability that they will visit your page and do the same.

Besides, there is another way that everyone forgets about. If you already have enough, then buying likes is not a bad idea. All ingenious is simple.

You do not need to think about the usefulness of the content and squeeze it out of yourself when you do not have inspiration or ideas. You will be able to focus on the topics that concern you. Old users will see your name in the feed again. The vicious circle of Instagram algorithms will end.
