Knocked-Out Tooth? Here’s What To Do

A tooth can be knocked out if a person’s jaw is struck with great force. When this happens, the best course of action is to find the tooth and try to put it back into its socket as soon as possible or at least keep the tooth moist with a saliva-moistened cloth. You will need to make sure your mouth is completely clean when doing this. This is because any form of infection in your mouth could cause serious problems later on, such as nerve damage, swelling of tissue and further injuries, leading to infection if not treated immediately.
