Scheduled Delivery Pending: Everything You Need to Know About It

What does it mean when the tracking system says ‘scheduled delivery pending’? Most people worry every time they see this. They think that they might not receive their parcels anymore. We will discuss everything you need to know about ‘Scheduled Delivery Pending.’

What does ‘Scheduled Delivery Pending’ mean?

Scheduled delivery pending means that the delivery schedule for your package is not yet ready. Sometimes it means that your parcel is delayed. Situations can cause it out of the shipping company’s control.

There are different reasons why your package gets a scheduled delivery pending. Here are some of them:

  1. Your package is already at the station. It is waiting to be scanned, and finally, be dispatched.
  2. One of the most probable reasons is when your package has issues while in transit. For example, there might be some delays with the vehicle or the airplane.
  3. Next, there are weather disturbances that could cause problems with the delivery.
  4. Lastly, since we are still in the time of the pandemic, many routes for delivery are being suspended. This situation causes problems and may hinder the delivery of your package.

Where is Your Package When it is in Scheduled Delivery Pending Status?

Many people would ask this question: Where is my package in Scheduled Delivery Pending Status?

Not knowing where your package is can cause you to panic slightly, especially when you have already paid for your parcel. But you do not have to worry because your box is safe in the warehouse. It is almost at its destination, but it is not dispatched yet. Once it is properly labeled and scanned, the status of your package will change.

How Long is a Pending Shipment?

Now that you know where your package is and that it is safe, the next question you might be asking is how long is your pending shipment?

Usually, when shipments are unresolved, the transaction will automatically expire within ten (10) days after you have created them. Note that you will not be charged for pending shipments. But make sure that you have not processed the shipment and printed the label yet.

Is Scheduled Delivery Time Accurate?

Unfortunately, not all have redstag fulfillment lead time. Scheduled delivery time is mostly accurate. But due to the circumstances we are in right now, it has become rarely accurate. There are several reasons why the scheduled delivery time has gotten less precise. One of them is that some routes for delivery vehicles change more often because of the pandemic.

Other Tracking Status

Scheduled Delivery Time is just one of the tracking statuses. Aside from that, there are some other updates that you should know to guide you with your package. Most of these updates you about your parcels, where they are, and when is their expected delivery date. Here are some of the other tracking statuses you should know.

Package Accepted

When your package reaches the shipment facility, you’ll receive an update that says ‘Package Accepted.’ This update means that your package is officially received. It will then be moved to a logistical chain. You usually receive this notification an hour after your shipping company receives your package.

Sometimes updates about your parcel may take some time, but do not panic because yet. The shipping facility might not have updated the status on their website yet. However, if you have not received any updates after about forty-eight (48) or seventy-two (72) hours, contact the shipping facility and directly ask them for updates.

Package In Transit

‘Package in Transit’ means that your package moves to the next destination. For example, it could be the last stop before it is delivered. Or your package is reaching its next destination before it is finally delivered.

There are some misconceptions about this update though. Most people think that this update means their packages are physically moving to the next destination. The actual situation is that some parcels are finished getting scanned. They are still in the warehouse, waiting to be transported to the next station.

Package Out for Delivery

Among all updates, this is the most awaited status. When you receive this notification, this means that your package has reached its final destination. In addition, this update means that the shipping company is dropping your parcel off at your place.

Once you receive your parcel, you will see a new update saying that your package is ‘delivered.’ The staff are the ones that put this change on the status.

Delivery Exception

Almost all fret over this update. Delivery Exception means that something unexpected occurred that may delay the delivery time of your parcel. Some situations like destructive storms, unfavorable weather, and the holiday may cause the delay. In some worst-case scenarios, the customs hold your package for an inspection.

This situation can happen, but note that this situation rarely occurs. So, you do not have to be anxious. However, if it happens to you, the best thing you can do is contact your shipping facility and ask for updates.

No Scheduled Delivery at This Time

When your package has not moved through your chosen shipment facility, you usually see this status. This update means that your shipping facility has not yet estimated the delivery time of your package. Wait for their update for about a day or two. And if you have not received any notifications after that day, contact your shipping facility.

If you are having trouble tracking your package, you can check the website of your chosen shipping company. Some even have a web or mobile application so that you can have easy access to their service. Some will also provide their contact information. Then, whenever problems occur, you can text or call them. They usually provide you with phone numbers that you can contact.

And if you are expecting your shipping company to deliver your package within the day, make sure that you are at home to receive your parcel. But if you are not available, you can ask someone to receive the package for you. That way, you can avoid problems, such as having your parcel returned to the sender.

Now that you know the most important shipping status, you know what to do. Whenever you see the Scheduled Delivery Pending, you won’t worry anymore. You know that your package is being taken care of by your chosen shipping company.
