The cars that were manufactured especially between 1960-1977 are considered very collectible as very few intact models of them exist now.
The only reason why some of these cars are grouped into the “rarest” category is not because they are old but there are many other reasons also.
Some of the Hot wheels models were not put into mass production as they have to face copyright issues and hence the ones produced before they face this issue were very less and hence considered rare.

Now let me take you straight into the list of Top 5 Rarest and The Most Expensive Hot Wheels Redline Cars. I have mentioned them in reverse order.
- Mad Maverick
As of now only 5 of these cars are known to exist, no need to explain any further why this is in our list. Two blue one purple two unassembled and one without colour, these are the five models that are in existence now.
To check the authenticity of these cars all you have to do is to check the bottom of the car. You will find Mad Maverick engraved there. If you have this car in your collection then seriously you have a jackpot in your hand. This can fetch you huge dollars
- Purr Cheetah
The Hot Wheels Python is one of the original 16 Hot Wheels die-cast models Mattel released in 1968.
First produced in Hong Kong, these were given the name Cheetah Python. However the name was changed as GM Executive Bill Thomas already had a Cheetah name attached to his Cobra Killer model.
Very few pieces were made before the name was changed and manufactured in red colour only. This was never supposed to be revealed to the public but few escaped the production facility. If you put this Redline Hot wheels For Sale then as per toy experts this car model can easily fetch you $10000
- Over Chrome Camaro
The reason for it being rare is because it was meant for advertisement purpose only and was never put into production. The antifreeze-over-chrome-finish Camaro is the colour of this rare piece. Till date only 20 models of these are known to exist and the way of manufacturing resembles Christian ornaments.
- Over Chrome Mustang
This model was also meant for advertisement purpose only and was never sold. How it managed to get from the hands of Mattel executives to outside home is still a mystery. As per toy experts this car is worth $40000.
- Pink Rear-Loading Beach Bomb
Top of the chart is Pink Rear-Loading Beach Bomb. This prototype was in the possession of a Mattel employee. It is unique because its surfboards load through the rear window.
Beach Bomb proved to be too narrow and top-heavy so they were compelled to change the design. A different version that featured side-mounted surfboards and a full-length plastic sunroof for a lower center of gravity was made. Till date only two Pink versions are known to exist.
There is a wide spread difference in opinion as to which model of Hot Wheels Redline Cars are rare and desirable. While preparing this list I tried to incorporate the names that are unanimously being considered rare.
