Required registrations
You need to register your new business with the Dutch Commercial Register at the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce. It will then pass on your details to the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. They will issue a VAT identification number to you for correspondence and invoices to your customers and a VAT number that you will use for your dealings with the Tax Administration.
If you need to hire staff, you will have to register as an employer with the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration for payroll taxes and social security.
