Air filter might be blocked or damaged 

The first thing you need to check is the air filter of your air conditioner. If there is too much dust stuck in the air filter, it results in low or no cooling. Control board might have malfunctioned

On the basis of this temperature, it either turns the compressor on or keeps it off.   

Check the capacitor

The capacitor of your air conditioner can also be a source of low or no cooling. You need to get it checked from the HVAC company so that the problem is solved in a professional and proper manner. If the capacitor of your air conditioner is damaged, the compressor will not start and therefore there will be no cooling coming from the air conditioner.
